yes.

i am sixty years older than you, think on that.

my mother’s name was madge, her mother

magdeleine, your grand grand parents.

it is said that i have learned more than you,

yet today   you come  wiser than i.

boy.
a swarm of physicists
sits in a room debunking
“the present”

                           logical deduction:
                             there is no now
                            (it doesn't exist)

                                           light years away
                                           on a podcast with nature
a bug flys into my eye

I adjust course
                           a fork offers 3 options
the brain is an open mouth
                                          I sit instead
an insatiable appetite consumes utensils too

fail flee feel

that! feels more write.

we fail at 90% of out endeavors;

we flee to the recesses
and the excesses;

we feel, most keenly,
our sense of loss,
and yet the inner linings of our
cells, once more greet a Sun-day that marks a mild fresh-ness and our involuntary ****** muscles bend
intro to a small smile,
and once more,

we breach the day with right hooks of positivity, warmth, music, and begin  to
remember  to
    feel feelings, assorted,
and we minutely reborn and the fluids of birthing are wiped away

and coffee seals the deal...and a hopeful day begins and forgiveness
and forgetting is the clean start clothes we dress ourselves within,
and with out, comfy jeans, well worn raggedy t shirt that you refuse to obey, expressly forbid her

to descard,
(not a rypo).
and you annoy her
with twenty kisses,
cause you don't want to spoil her,,,
too much

I love days like this
late day sunshine, early summer bliss.
The magnolia smells of home,
no matter how displaced
June breeze, calm and playful
your hand on my bare waist.

Sometimes I stare out beyond what I can see
and wonder who else has been.
Ancient southern trees
covered in spanish moss where leaves grow thin.
The night approaches
a lone rider with no name
the cover of darkness imposed
and fashions mystery just the same.

Growing restless in the thickness of heat
solstice tastes like sugar and a hidden moon
something mindless and indistinct.
Burning for as long as an eye can blink,
gentle little light of beetle make the way
know it could lead me somewhere far, far off
but here, I so wish to stay.
Everyday
New ways
Better days
Helpful ways
Much too say
Heat is on
Loose curls —
found scattered throughout
my house
DNA traces —
Declaring existence
Beyond these poems;
Manifestations.
And fleeting interactions
In tight and wide-open
Spaces.
The King's Birthday long weekend is proving to be a good muse.
Tell me what it is you want me to see
Sometimes my mind wanders, or wonders,
I'm not sure which.

Maybe it's both, maybe it's neither
Maybe I'm just overcome with desire.

You often have that effect on me!

Anyway!

Tell me once again, what it is
you want me to see.

I'll try to pay attention this time.

My God You're BEAUTIFUL!

Do you know that?
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Bullets, bombs, and broken glass
Shards, shells, left strewn
Across the floor
As thin as ice

A life built on lies
A past buried deep inside
A house of cards
You'll never know why

So, forget
That I'm hanging from the edge
Forget that I am
Finding courage through the pain

Through the tears
And the weakened nerves
Tell me
How to learn to live
Brave birds bop
On bare branches outside;
Grandpa’s dominating morning —
Grey and makes everyone flee.
Logic larks: get up and walk, see!
But bed, with an abundance of blankets
And rain, lots of rain, drips don't be insane,
Get warm!
Despite this, cold sausages and coffee call:
“Eat me!”
And I do oblige.
I've got an hourglass of time
And people I've hurt
Countless as the sand in it
I've got a broken heart
Full of regret and pain
But you don't care
Once more, I stab the wound
That was once a person
A memory that I drank away
On a cold night
A memory burned out
Leaving cold ash
As countless as the sand
In my hourglass of time
