Was not a superhuman

He polished his talent
And enjoyed that level

I am looking for the hay
In my stack of needles

I can assure that this
Has been said before me

But it rings true still
And lives as my axiom

I am searching for my
Individuality in a conformity sea

Perhaps I am meant to
Live in many muddied waters

Yet here I am refusing
A fate I cannot seal

Surrender is only an option
For negativity holding me back

I cannot lose everything again
I won't hear my heartbreak

Openly I defy the standards
Laid before my deaf ears

I refuse to stand mute
When I witness any injustice

Now I have decided after
Sixteen years of caving in

I am no one's marionette
Because I pull the strings

In the middle of the lonesome night
A heart aches and a mandolin plays
Longing and sorrow
Filled to the brim
Of a battered thought driven to the ground
Lost hope and faith
With no chance to rejoice
Pain floods the streets and enters the homes
Just down the road
To the town square
Where under a single willow
A bench does sit
Begging for the mandolin to smile
With its lively tune
With memories of a love once so on fire
That are now tainted with poison
And venom
From silly juvenile mistakes
That no clock or brokenness can take back
To times when joy and laughter and love
Never seemed to lack

My favorite juxtaposition
Is when a city goes totally silent
When the widest streets are empty
And the only sounds are quiet

The bustling stores are still closed
And no one else is walking around
The city looks amazingly different
With only a few men in the ground

The buildings stand tall and silent
While those up late tuck in for the night
And the earliest risers have yet to awake
To meet the ever blinking lights

The signs are as bright as ever
And the lights still work 'round the clock
But not a single bike, car, or man
Can be seen on the city block

I stand on the silent street corner
Feeling the moment rush through me
For stunningly empty cities
Are some of my favorite places to be

Lost in oceans of regrets and despair;
In short, careful breaths, I fear;
Good does nothing if you're drowning;
Hell felt colder than ever before,
Taking me down to the deep abyss;
High above the cliffside, I see you there,
Out in the cold waters, you can't see me here;
Under your luminance, you can't see me dying,
So near to Oblivion, so far from the shore;
Ending my suffering, succumbing to the abyss.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. I am resting now and feeling better. I looked up the problem online and don't feel it's necessary to go to the hospital.

I am going to take a short break. I'll be back online tomorrow 7/19/2016.

Complementary or contrasting colors make colors pop! When laid against each other there is a vibrancy which can be paralleled only in heaven.

Red/Green  Yellow/Purple  Orange/Blue

What I wouldn't give for the time to paint this morning!

Thank You God for your glorious Creation!

Happy Sunday!
