Words are everything
Their capacity to lift
Push and inspire

Within this thoughtless moment
and this wordless breath
I am

I glide my fingers over
The scab I didn’t mean to make
And try to convince myself
Not to make any more

I never knew success
I heard she was quite the celebrity
I've always wanted to dance

But she never wanted any of me

I can only fantasize
About her lovely lips
I could only dream of a passionate kiss

Success and I
A warm embrace
And staring at her beautiful face

She's just a dream I love to dream
But I've never known her

And I've heard she's the best

But I've never known success
The only girl I've ever known is

              Loneliness

I used to write poetry"
The old man said

A few words of passion
He would lay down with his pen

He told me a few knew his name
When his name was said

But it all withered away
When he retired it

Now he just reads them all
He reads them all his head

After he takes his medicines

He said he used write about everything
And wondered where everything went

After he stopped writing poetry
He felt his life came to an end

I just want to turn into the person you never dreamed I would be... not even in your wildest nightmares
Huh. Maybe I’m less okay than I thought...
