Words are harmless, so they say,
That's where the problem starts;
Sticks and stones
May break our bones
But words will break our hearts.

Words are harmless, so they say,
And point you to their charts;
It's harmless fun,
No damage done.
But... Who will mend our hearts?

The x-rays show no damage
Where words have scathed across,
But it still feels hard to manage,
And leaves you at a loss.

Words are harmless, don't complain,
That's where the problem starts.
It's quite absurd-
A single word-
Enough to break our hearts!

But words are harmless, they maintain;
The subject of their parts,
No less or more,
So let them pour
From all our broken hearts
“Sticks and stones may break our bones, but words will break our hearts” is a quote I have stolen directly from Robert Fulghum.
In my defence, he'd already stolen half of that quote himself.

Last day in November
A day to culminate thoughts on souls
All souls departed remembered
For many are the legacies left behind

Legacies of those dearly beloved
once seen but now no more
Thanked for their existence
Loved for the links they left behind

Links thus born out of feelings
stemming from day to day dealings
Many are those thus gone by
Love connections they left behind

Gratitude tugs gently at the heart
of legacies, links and connections
breathing life in the present
breeding yet another to be left behind

Last day in November
A day to culminate thoughts on souls
All souls departed remembered
For many are the legacies left behind

I see you and can't look you in the eye
I feel your presence as you pass by me and i can't feel your touch
I hear you speak and i can't just open my mouth
I see your footprints and i cant follow your steps
We both stare at each other and i look away

He's her sickness, with him she's unwell
She's his drug, without her life's hell
He's her nightmare, with him she's frightened
She's his sweetest dreams, without her he's burdened
He's her despair, with him she's grieved
She's his hope, with her he's fulfilled
He's her failure
She's his success
