i hear the wind
sometimes raindrops too
i feel the heat of the sun
at night, i see the light of the moon

i can’t go out
for a better view
or a better feel

but i know
i am grateful
to still be breathing
trying to post one thought a day until this quarantine is over

it’s all gonna be okay

but you have a terrible habit
of glancing up at the sky
then looking down fast
as if you were telling yourself
that you had no right
to admire its beauty

Your smile:
the bract
of those petal lips,
there to
attract
the flower of a kiss.
Snow falls before Spring.

Ice laughs amidst freezing air:

the sky’s confetti.

Or torn love letters,

once smuggled under pillow.

Now bitter on tongue.

I am forgetting about you.
Your smile has gone away.
No longer written on your face for me to see every day.
It's getting easier for me day to day.

I am forgetting about you.
Saved memories emerge from time to time.
They're full of colors of you and are easy to find.
But are fading away to darkness as if I were blind.

I am forgetting about you.
No more haunting smiles in dreams.
No more deep brown angelic eyes that made my soul scream.
Because I couldn't have you in my arms under the sunbeams.

I am forgetting about you.
That part of me is dying.
That part of me walked under the moonlight and was crying.
But there you were in the clear night sky simply shining.

I wonder if I will forget about you.
I think that part of me will not die.
I think that part of me will stay alive.
Nothing left for me but endless goodbyes.

For the first time in a long time,
I can say that I feel free from expectations,
free from limitations,
and myself.
I can feel the seasons changing,
and it's been a while since
I've seen the surface.
Felt the sun kiss my skin
and heard the wind whistle melodies
as it grazed my ears
on the way to the mountains.
The whole world is aching –
I know, but the rain never cared.
It reflects a time
when man was primal;
before he had a right to fear.
The rain whispers to me, 'I love you.'
I love you,
and I am not afraid.

I want to lay my head on your lap
having you pet me and play with my hair

Sing for you an old song,
that reminds me of you

And then talk to you about the random-est of things
seeing you smile and laugh over my silly thoughts

I hope to see you happy then,
as my consciousness slip away and drifting to sleep
She saw it first ✨
