266: Bad Nursery Rhymes
Ginger Bread Man tried to run away,
So they chopped off his legs.

The Three Pigs and Chicken Little are missing,
But I saw the Big Bad Wolf eating ham and eggs.

Little Miss Muffin is drinking with that spider,
He will have his wicked way, when she's drunk on cider.

Little Bo Peep is playing with Little Boy Blues horn,
Nine months later, Mary or a little lamb is born

The Poet
Please find and take heed
Words written by a poet to read
Words of feelings that flow
That come from within the soul

Some words so hard to write
Never before shown the light
Treasured words that are shared
Given by a poet now bared

One poem reading a million others
Words of sorrow or for lovers
Each poet, to find, to be inspired
Words of passion that are fired

Give every poet just that chance
Let those words come and dance
For those that come from the dark
Allow those words leave their mark

Read them and let them be seen
Understand what their words will mean
A million poets writing in the sun set
Writing with a heart we will never forget

No Redemption
Dark rain falls tonight

On a skin, cold as ice

Giving a chill to embrace

Shrunken eyes hide from light

With only the dead to entice

Forgotten dreams of a lovers face

The comfort is the grave

Within the shadows of rust

Building up to evils desire

A body no one can save

Left in hell like lust

No redemption for the vampire

Long forgotten, that human feeling

Of what love once felt like

With only tears of blood to cry

Red thirst, of this life stealing

Condemned to feel that spike

When an immortal can die

Young And Beautiful
Each day she posed naked
As he continued to paint
Engrossed in the picture
She was twenty to his fifty
But his age never upset her
In truth, she was falling for him

He never attempted to ****** her
As if he ignored her body
Maybe she was not beautiful enough
She knew he lived all alone
He never shared his home
If he asked, she would be his

She tried to show temptation
Wanting him to notice her
No matter how much she showed
The curves of her body
He would just keep painting
As if he never noticed her there

On the last day she could take no more
"Am I not beautiful in your eyes
Can you tell I desire you
I would do anything you ask
If it be only for one night
I am yours if you want me"

"You are young and beautiful
Your beauty will be seen forever
In this painting, In your honour
But I loved so very long ago
I lost her to Mistress Death
My heart belongs to her, always"

392: Saxon Blade
I pray to you this night
For my Goddess to bless me
That if I fall in battle
On the new born morning
You will reward my soul

The invaders took our land
They have ***** our woman
Have stolen our only food
Destroyed what was our homes
Driven us to hide in the hills

But now, when daylight dances
We will take this no more
Fight side by side, with fury
Our swords will taste their blood
We will be free once again

To the death with no surrender
Saxon warriors in blood and soul
Brothers in arms until the end
But if I die in the coming battle
My father will guide my spirit home

369: Cheap Seats
Can you please tell me,
How the cost of living isn't free?
Every heart beat that I feel,
Always seems another second to steal.
Poor souls suffer in torment,

Still losing a special moment.
Every life is forever paying,
A** price we pay for straying.
Taking us closer to Deaths' touch;
Suddenly the cost seems too much.

Enemy At The Gates
Try as we might, we never win
We lose sight, fall into sin
We still fight, never to win
It is never bright, always too dim

And the enemy at the gates
They keep on calling
We are victims of the fates
We keep on falling

No matter what we say, no one hears
Troubles never far away, too many fears
In our pain we pay, rewarded with tears
The sun will never stay, rain never clears

And the enemy at the gates
They keep on calling
We are victims of the fates
We keep on falling

We can't take anymore, it takes too long
Crawling on the floor, not feeling strong
We are victims of what for, always being wrong
Always looking for the door, waiting to hear that song

And the enemy at the gates
They keep on calling
We are victims of the fates
We keep on falling

485: In The Line Of Fire
I did my duty, I went to war
Now to see her face, I ask no more

True love is her heart to be
How I wish life was battle free
Even as I fight, the years go by

Lessons to learn to ****, but why?
If only we could find some peace
Now my life would find a release
Each second takes me away from her

Oh, how I wish we could be together
Freedom should be fought for the better

Far away, I settle down to read her letter
If only I had never enlisted in this war
Reaching now, in tears, on a distant shore
Ends in tormented pain as she leaves me

508: Night Surrender
I want you, I feel this heat
Craving the surrender of you
Burning up with darkest desire
Your body heat next to mine
The taste of your ruby lips

Giving together, until morning comes
Because this very night belongs to us
I feel your bite, the lust as you drink
Touch of your skin, that cold embrace
This need we feel can never be quenched

I see the glow, burning deep in your eyes
Tasting me now, the very edge of ecstasy
Your body shivers from wanting me
Together, one with the shadows of night
I belong to you for you now belong to me

Teach you fear through hallucination
Every terror crawling in your skin
Pulse racing faster than anything
Horror chasing you in your mind

320: Rocking Dragon
When you see a rocking Dragon
You know it is a sad 'un
Crying away with diamond tears
That lasts for a hundred years

The heart is pure and golden
From times long forgotten an oldern
You are lucky if you witness this
A rocking Dragon you will never miss

There will always be a twist
They say a rocking Dragon doesn't exist
And like the purity of the rain
You can feel that it is in pain

Reach out with your hand now open
You feel it, yes, it will happen
Touch it, comfort the sad 'un
Console this wonderful rocking Dragon

Quick Silver
He glides through the night
Causing such a fright
That little goblin
With his head bobbing

He is up to no good
Shout at him you should
But he likes to scare
Anyone who is there

Quicksilver is his name
Mischief is is game
Naughty goblin is he
Moves faster than can be

And you will never know
When he is at your window
Plays tricks with an icy grin
Ever so fast, so he can win

So when things go wrong
And you hear a strange song
Do not believe it is a whim
Because it just might be him

Mischief is is game

The Hidden Smile
She is crying inside
Where nothing is right
They hurt her too much
She's forgotten how to fight

Everyone has someone
Someone they can hold
Share with her their troubles
She's young and feeling old

Always seems to be strong
She handles it in style
But she's another lost soul
Forgotten with a hidden smile

My mind breaks down, screaming
The pain increases, always hurting
Wish it wasn't real, only dreaming
All my thoughts seem to be deserting

Hands held to my head, no escape
It's pounding, just building inside
Hear me shout out across the landscape
I can never escape even if I tried

Knocking at the door, knocking more
Thumping, taking me to the floor
Knocking at the door, head so sore
Save me from this migraine, I implore

356: Christmas Tears
Can you hear the jingle of bells?

Hear the blessings and the noels

Reaching out with joy for all

In homes everywhere, presents in the hall

Still there is another side we never see

Those neglected children, with stockings empty

Many are in places they should never be

All too many, homeless, too true sadly

So spare a thought for children so needy

Tiny boys and girls that are too hungry

Each of us will celebrate, and never know

Anything about young tears that grow

Remember your young ones, safe and protected

Sadly, there are young children rejected

514: You Came
I have sinned, I have wronged
Been down with no way up
But you came, lent me your shoulder
I knew this world as a better place

I have cried, I have screamed
Believing nobody could hear me
But you came, lent me your ears
Then I knew someone listened

I have suffered, I have been lost
Searching, but with nowhere to go
But you came, took me, kept me warm
And I knew beauty, for there was you

Because being with you

The Coming Storm
When nothing seems to work
When nothing seems to go right
Problems come screaming out
And everything starts to fall apart
As it all begins to go wrong
Let me be there with you

The frustration comes knocking
It comes calling at your door
Your will slowly slips away
All seems to be broken
No way out for any escape
Lost and a long way from home
Let me show you the way

Do not give in to your tears
Do not surrender to your fears
These feelings will not last forever
We will face the coming storm together

When you think the magic has faded
And there is nowhere else to turn
When the white has turned to black
You feel you can not be found
Isolation seems to be your only friend
Life seems to be only a wordless song
Let me open the music

And you can see the storm clouds gathering
And you can hear the distant sound of thunder
There are signs of the lightening
Hide away in a place unseen
But you know the coming storm will find you
That it will come and it will seek you out
Let me brave the weather

Do not give in to your tears
Do not surrender to your fears
These feelings will not last forever
We will face the coming storm together

If only this was a perfect world
Where all could be set free
Where words were expressed
And read with love and devotion

If only there was never feuds
Where friends fell out at times
Where friendship was created
And it always reigned true

If only people could be equal
And forgive any injustice
So everyone could fit in
Instead of competing to win

If only poetry was that simple
To touch everyone in so many ways
That we could understand the true meaning
Where so many poems mean so many things

If only I could find the solution
To help make everyone find happiness
Where we love the friendship we have
Because then, I would find happiness too

Oh Butterfly
Oh butterfly,
You visited me
In times of sorrow
In times of need
You eased my pain
But strange you came
In a cold November day
So gently I let you go
The next day you returned
Back once again on a wall
As if watching out for me
I know your soul, oh butterfly
Of the garden you tended
I loved as a child
So now I will miss you
With tears in my eyes
My father shall miss you
My siblings shall miss you
Your grandchildren shall miss you
All of the family shall miss you
But come the Summer days
As the children see a butterfly
That makes them smile
With the beauty it holds
I know it is really you
Always watching over us
My mother so deeply missed

465: I Don't Know Me
So who is this man?
He stands here alone
At the corner of the room
Looking out the window
Wishing for yesterday

Is he someone I know?
Because I knew happiness
Of days of forgotten love
Arm in arm in green meadows
Kissing amongst the buttercups
Dreaming of tomorrow

Now I don't know me
I am not who I once was
Is there anyone who can tell me?
How this predicament came to be?
For I cry inside alone
Fearing about today

I drown in a sea of sorrow
Dragging me down to follow
Never finding the words to speak
A cold crystal tear on my cheek

And the sea continues to flow
As it takes away my very soul
On the distant show of the land
He refuses to offer a helping hand

And I can hear him laughing at me
A laughter that leaves me now empty

I suffer the pains of knowing rejection
Never being one to be picked for sellection
I feel myself going under from the waves
Another unnamed victim in unmarked graves

And they watch as I float on the ebb tide of life
Trying to keep my head above the current of strife
They fail to throw me a life line to hold on to
Leaving me floating with not knowing what to do

And they are laughing at my own misery
They continue laughing for everyone to see

And when I had been long forgotten to the past
I came back to take my revenge at long last
For all of those who thought I had fallen from grace
I came back, and on them, I etched my own face

Like the phoenix of old, I arose from the ashes and was reborn
I proved that I could return, when they thought me gone
For every man and woman that had been cast aside
They joined the rebellion gathered at my side

To fight, with words, and take back that which was once ours
We battled to win, counting the days and the hours
For a better world, we were heard, they listened to our voices
For all of time, we took our options and took our choices

But still in the distance, I hear the laughter coming back tomorrow
I hear the laughter, that will drown us in a sea of sorrow

39: Dark Surface
To believe in a purpose
Under the dark surface
Hides away those scars
That are visible like stars

The darkness in the soul
A darkness that will grow
Grows and reaches out
Before you can shout

Millions hidden in the dark
Shadows alive like a spark
Shadows eating you alive
With no chance to suvive

So let us all hide away
And wait for light of day
Until the time we know
When shadows will go
Heed this poem of darkest days
Hide yourself when Nightmare plays
When you know, those shadows wait
Time runs out, and it is too late

Tears of fire are burning your cheeks
Forbidden secrets that grimly seeks
Draining your life, leaving you dry
Where there is no sound to cry

When blackened terror comes knocking your door
Leaving you empty, and pleading for more
But this emptiness surrounds you
This desperation confounds you

The icy touch of fear in your head
You listen to voices of lingering dead
Haunting you now, in so many ways
Heed this poem of darkest days

When The Axe Falls
She had been sent to the tower
Refused a kings advances and power
To await for what would be her fate
For the executioner she would wait

But the executioner was secretly in love with her
He would fight for her if they could be together
But he knew he did not want her to die
To save her, he was willing to try

She told him no, this was not the way
She would have to die when came that day
She gave a kiss to the executioner's cheek
Said, in Heaven, his love she would seek

On her last night he took her as his lover
Because she would never take another
The executioner did not want her to go
She said he would always have her soul

On the day she came, at last, to her fate
For to save her, it was far too late
In his mask, he cried, no one could tell
For him she loved, then the axe fell

510: A Fallen Cherub
I was so proud
Following Cupid
The greatest Cherub
Gifting all of mankind
With the power of love

Aiming the arrows
Dipped in that emotion
Where two fall together
Giving their precious hearts
To be with one another

We never leave anyone out
Be it man loving woman
Man in love with man
Woman falling for woman
Need be, even man and sheep

But I tried to stop war once
Shooting arrows at Presidents
Hoping two men of power
Could bring the love of peace
To a world deeply in need

They had to assassinate them
Put two more warmongers in charge
So once again I tried
Once more they were assassinated
So I hung up my bow and arrow

You see, never blame the Presidents
Because they are only puppets
On strings, led by power mad Generals
Using war to make a profit
But also preventing true love

If (By The Kipling Dog)
If you can scratch that irritation
And rid yourself of those fleas,
Put your head upon a masters lap
and be patted gently on the head.
Look up with pining eyes at the table
and gain the reward of a scrap of food.

If you can tempt your master to walk you
Even when the rain is falling outside;
**** your leg up at the leg of a chair
And know you will never get caught.
Bear to take that dreaded walk,
Up to where the fears of the bath await.

If you can dream of the day now gone,
And kick your hind leg up in the air.
If you can train your master well,
To throw a stick but have to bring it back;
Then the world is your bone, my pup,
And every day you will be a dog.

Some are looking for it still
They find it very hard to cope
Stripped of their own will

Life really makes no sense

Paying for it at our own expense

I thought I saw an Angel crying,
Up there within the storm clouds.
Her tears falling with the rain,
Her sobs hidden by the sound of thunder.

I thought I saw an Angel trying,
So hard to understand those she protects.
Never seeing in the folly of so many wars,
Wondering why there is the need to fight.

I thought I saw an Angel dying,
From the lack of emotions down below.
Her heart torn by the hatred being formed,
As she felt the love flowing far away.

I thought I saw an Angel flying,
Soaring up on beautiful wings.
Because she was never giving up hope,
For she knew we still had far to come.

Only to gather food for her cats

For she seldom remembers to eat

Slipping
What do you do when it hurts
You fight that slipping feeling
Because the last time you fell
You nearly never made it back

When you can feel them crawling
Nesting inside of your mind
Waiting until they are set free
In your path of self destruction

Keep pretending you're in control
That you don't need any help
So you just keep it to yourself
Hoping that tomorrow is a better day

But you're still slipping down
To where darkness is waiting
Ready to claim you once more
And this time you won't find the light

Still you continue to cry inside
Pretending you're wearing a false smile
Scared to admit depression creeps
Waiting like the blackest of clouds

You shout in your head "why me"?
But your inner self isn't listening
You just want to rip open emotions
Only you keep feeling so alone

Drawn to take the easy way out
You know it'd hurt the ones you love
So you carry on with a brave face
Wishing blank thoughts far too late

I seem to get ignored at times
Does anyone even notice me there
Who ever looks at the nose

Now the eyes, people look at
Even when upset, they get attention
I never get wiped gently like that
No one likes me if I run

Even the ears get a lot of fun
When romance is in the air
They get a visit from the tongue
I never get a tongue licking me

The mouth, it gets too much bliss
Not only does it get fed regular
But it sometimes gets a kiss
No one tries to give me food

People don't like touching me
And I have to put up with smell
You should put up with socks

But I'm ugly inside
To forget my scars
Too much I've tried

I want you
But I'm ugly inside
The things I've done
Those things I hide

I desire you
But I'm ugly inside
Too many secrets
All the times I've lied

I see your beauty
But I'm ugly inside
Too scared to speak
Swallowing my pride

I watch you walk away
But I'm ugly inside
You'll never see my tears
All those times I've cried

517: Places In The Heart
Lonely birds fly away home
To distant lands and far away nests
Never do they look back
For the places that they leave

Open their wings to roam
Flying a hard wind that tests
Trying to blow them back
To those places that they leave

So hard for us to let go
As they continue to grow
Letting them learn by their mistakes
No matter how your heart breaks

Take care of them for me
For I must set them free
Never let them see this tear
I will always be here

321: In Your Sleep I Came
I saw my lover there
I visited her, in her sleep
Gave her a kiss, softly
On her forehead and she knew
For she smiled in her sweet rest

I saw my friend there
As his nightmares came
I pulled the blankets around him
And whispered words of hope
Then he was at ease as they went away

I saw my child there
Crying in the sleep she faced
I wiped her tears away for her
And said I loved her and was there
She cuddled her teddybear and was at peace

I saw everyone there
Restless as dreams avoided them
So I wrote this poem for them to read
I hoped the words would show I care
And at last, give them beautiful dreams

Urban Nightmare
Hear this tale, my beauty
Of fear and forgotten legend
Of the terrors of the night
That will get you in the end

Do not venture out, after dark
You never know what is waiting there
Hiding away from you in secluded shadow
Ready to pounce like your worst nightmare

The killer is loose, roaming the streets
Looking for victims with his knife
You never want to bump into him
Because then it will cost you your life

Then there is the eyes of the vampire
Hypnotise you like the night sky
They will ****** you with a kiss
Then it is too late, as they drain you dry

A million eyes are out there, watching you
You shiver with a strange sound you hear
Something in the dark is reaching out
Coming to get you through your fear

So you have to run now, find somewhere safe
Find somewhere they are not going to see
But maybe I am hiding there in secret
So now you must beware, and look out for me

227: Behind My Blue Eyes
This man hides emotions

Hides them like a disguise

Afraid to show them again

Hiding behind blue eyes

Maybe he can express them

Come to again realise

Someone can hold his heart

And I can no longer hide behind  blue eyes
