Fragility

No one really knows,
Where we go.
No matter how strong,
Together,
And reinforced
We try to be;
There is
A force we can't control:
Fragility.

So,
Let's not
Think so much.

Our nature
Eludes true
Vulnerability.

Looking at an author

It’s in the cheekbones
Below the eyes
Beneath the subtle shades of truth
It lies
To hide the self
Hiding itself
Yet worlds
Worlds are presented as such
So as to think
That they reside inside

And sometimes they do
Who? A girl named door of course.

I change like night and day
So don't get caught up in the moment
For It's just for a moment
I may ran away and hide, in the thick of the forest
But promise not to be alarmed
I'm fine all on my own
Promise you won't come out seeking for me
This is who I am
I'm a lone wolf
You got to understand
I need to recharge my soul
Stay clear off the noise
I'm a lone wolf
I thirst for freedom
Freedom to be alone sometimes
I'm a lone wolf
My spirit thrives on solitude
Without it I'll starve to death
But I'll be coming back
Back when my batteries are full again
Back when  my soul has gained back its mettle
Back when my mind, body and spirit are in one peace

Pick the lock on this old heart
Would you?
I've thrown away the key

Into the foam
Where the towers fall
Just over the edge of this most dramatic me

Would you batter it down
The old barred door
Let the oak tides crash for an eternity

As you hear the churning waking sea
So it consumes the sound
Of a splashing key
At The Edge Of The Sea

Someone stole my color
And threw it to the wind
Scattered like ashes
I don’t know if I’ll ever find it

Someone stole my color
From the face I know so well
I saw it in the cotton candy clouds
And the teal ocean swell

Someone stole my color
I guess that’s where it went
The world looks so much brighter
Like something heaven-sent

Someone stole my color
And that’s what no one knows
Depression isn’t black
It’s the color of a rose

It’s the light orange in a sunset
And the yellow of a peach
Light blue, my favorite color
So simply out of reach

Purple like my favorite eyeshadow
No, lavender, I’d guess you’d say
And my favorite music artist
Although he has passed away

Someone stole my color
Now everything’s too bright
I suppose sometimes darkness
Isn’t the opposite of light

Someone stole my color
So I’ll wear grey and black
As if in mourning
Until I get it back

Eyes..."the windows of the soul"
revealing all i am and are...
Layers of emotions
that show every battle scar.

With a phrase or harsh action
they may show such grief and pain.
Some often ignore the signs...
and just attack again.

They speak to you, succinctly
and can be an open book
If you would only take the time
to take a deeper look.

They soften when they fall in love
and sharpen to a lie
And tighten when duress is near
and narrow when they spy.

They widen when the wonders
of the world come into sight.
Then close when darkness falls
and just embrace the night.

They flinch when they are startled
and they smile when joy is near.
And lubricate themselves with tears
when losing someone dear.

If you should pay attention
to the billboard of the eyes.
They often tell the truth
and seldom falsely advertise.
