It’s not what I thought
Youth wasn’t all carrot.
Once past its peak
I was shown its stick.
Once a week on Wednesdays
Round about high noon
The crowd falls deadly silent
As his presence fills the room

Is it out of reverence
Or is it out of fear
A rustling of feathers
As the Colonel draws near

He passes back and forth
In his Stately Southern  Swagger
You can make out nervous clucking
As it certainly isn't laughter

Pointing out a few in the crowd
That's the last we'll see of  you
Until you're deep fried battered
And set out on a platter

That's when Henrietta hen
Noticed the paper in his pocket
In her slickest ninja move
Grabbed it fast, don't dare drop it

His secret recipe
Who would ever have believed
What he'd planned to dust them in
The chickens have now got it

They gave it to Robbie Rooster
Because he's computer savvy
Down loaded the app for eBay
To see who would like to have it

From the Ukraine to Japan
The bids started pouring in
Popeye and some Church
Were in the battle to the end

The Colonel's misfortune paid that day
The chickens bought themselves an island
Skedaddling themselves far away
The coups now forever silent

Enjoying life drinking margaritas
Sticking it to the Man with golden tan
You can lick your fingers on that Sanders
As you'll never see them again...
A collaboration between SG Holter and Elisa Maria Argiro

Hesitating here, silent edge of this dark forest,
I look beyond me, warm in the white fog.
Seeing your heart, now residing deep within
the ancient wood, is to know it is blessed, loved.

Silver tongue resting now in golden silence.
Palms of soul upon moss and brittle bark.
Animal song; scent of beasts approaching unafraid.
Fierce peace. The opposite of a machine.

In the rising sap of silent trees around us,
our deeply beating pulses listen, dance,
smiling kisses at the shining stars, new planets.
Eyes open, anima and animus press tightly
And distance is no more.

"What language is Yours,"
I ask the still growing giants of
Green.
"Silence and its sister tongues
Such as leaves dancing with the
Breeze," they reply within the
Gap between soft sounds and
Softer ones.
So we speak through breaths
Exchanged, of nothing.
Two souls afloat upon the stream
Of Union with All.
What is Cosmos,
But "home"?
Never a visitor.
Never a stranger.
Nowhere has anyone ever been
Lost, or
Away.*

Humming your essence into my veins,
in tune with the wordless languages
of green lives and wind, listening
among delicate flowers, sleeping here
on the forest floor, wakeful and awaiting
the next sound of your voiceless voice,
wind words blowing
through my long, curling hair,
feeling the intention of your
untouched touch,
at home, just being.

(as a collaborative poem)
That wall man hits as a child
Would still on the floor,
Anger,
Which breaks men into pieces
And scatters him among those he loves,
The anger which held down
Can turn into an explosion.

That same anger which calls
Men to become something else,
And that something else becomes
Regret, that regret becomes a plea
Of forgiveness, which to himself
He cannot give.

Anger, which triggers paranoia,
And that paranoia into rage
And men are sent to early tombstones;
This anger is that of a poor man
Who has the world to suffer.

Anger which tears the man apart
And makes the soul cry for help,
And the soul breaks down into
A corridor of sorrow,
This anger that stains the man
And consumes like fire,
An internal burning.
.
Into her eyes I dove,
I did not know it was
The deepest end,
Of a pool so vast,
All the blood of veins
Could not fill,
Yet poured into.

Into her lips I sank,
Buried alive at day,
My arms struggled
Limp, to hold on,
My body quivering
In the moist rains
That lovers drown in.

Into her flesh I came,
My burial at sea.

Love You

Love you
That's all I wanted
was to

Love you
That's how it started
Let me

Love you
You don't let me know
When to

Love you
I thought I knew
When I could

Love you
I guess I missed it
Honey

Love you
Is all I wanted
was to

Love you
g' head and take me
Honey

Love you
I only wish
that I could

Love you
more than just wish
I wish to

Love you
I hope my wish
come true to

Love you
and that you will
love me true
