She wonders that if things were different, you would still be here.
A true cliche. I know.
That, if the time and space continuum allows her,
She would bend all laws just to remember what your face looked like,
Remember that time is limited, something she forgot to take advantage of,
Remember your frivolous yet intriguing thoughts spewing out of your beautiful mind that made her  curiouser and curiouser,
Remember your so-called plans for the future,
The same future that knew your fate but left a happy teenager to believe that she was going to grow up with her best friend,
Until she lost her to time,
this fascinating thing she thought,
until it caught up with her,
Then it was this thing that ripped a tear through her 'perfect' fabric
of reality,
That clawed at it till she felt nothing but emptiness,
The emptiness that filled space and time.
Huh.Time.
To Time they were mere seconds.
Time got to her.
It got to her friend.
It got her.
Natural order always wins.
Time always wins.
So while we live our lives,
As we continue to forget consequences and exist freely,
just remember,
That time is of the essence,
An essence that I ensure to use every last drop off,
But never underestimate its use,
Because as we know,
Time's a *****.
time effects everything that exists in space and time. Even people.

White picket fences
Four family houses
Checker pattern apron
Pie left to cool on the windowsill
Watching Andy Griffith
Paying some old television bills and hoping the kids will notice
Anything but the coldness that lies outside the front porch
The one with the swing

This is the American dream
Not really knowing what "minority" means
Fighting for a penny to put in a candy machine
"Oh, where did it go?" Some people ask
As if corruption was a thing of the past

Exhale Your Mind
i'm not a slave of compliments.
I won't overdose on injections of racism.
The only addiction i have it of the melanin in my skin.
My heritage is not a sin.
My womanhood has always been the evidence of excellence.
My faith is not a bad habit I need rehabilitation from.
If discrimination was a drug i would be high every day

It lies in my skin,
It makes me who I am,
It makes me beautiful,
You saw and see me as lesser,
You look down at me with displeasure,
My big lips and *** were seen as ugly,
Now seen as a trend broadly,
My natural beauty has fallen in the category of fake,
My melanin aches,
My blackness sheds tears as my sense of beauty once hated,
Now brought into the public eye, now everyone all bums and lips inflated,
Something once that was seen as characteristics of my people,
Now a trend.
So sorry if I don’t follow a trend that is sickening,
But I won’t stop my smile from glistening,
Cause there are things you can’t take from us,
Our freedom, our pride, our melanin.
my features were always beautiful
