Your mood rippled across the room, my confession of love came way too soon.

How do I compose words to describe, the beauty behind those saddened eyes.

She said her happiness was not meant to be, nothing I said or did could set her free.

She said her leaving was never my fault, just another notch upon her hearts vault.

Deep down I knew she would never stay, so I watched her slowly walk away.

The autumn canvass
Blurs beneath busy feet
A chorus of umbrellas waltz
Along the bustling street

Cars splash through puddles
Spray crescendos joyously
It was then that their eyes met
Across a city sidewalk symphony

A river of moments pulses through our veins.
Held down solely with anchors and chains.

Life keeps rolling forward, drifting by and by.
As time carries on we continue to try.

Water rises and quickens with inexorable rains.
Rapids bring wisdom our souls collect and attain.

With it faith to drop anchor open our wings and fly.
Steering with heartstrings in the firmament skies.

The glass slide runs up the neck
The whiskey slides down
There is something burning inside
it's my whiskey brown frown

The lights are low
The smoke so thick
I see blues in the sounds
you stroke
with your finger tips

Laughter out there
Someone sitting on every chair
She put a spell on you
into space you now stare

The whiskey soaks in
So does the color to ears
Looking at life through the empty glass of your fears

The bar closes soon
It's getting so late
I've been drinking so much
I drank myself straight

The colors have changed
from blue/black of the night
The rooster crows
I see the beginnings of the red/yellow light

So if I go home
I'm never coming back
She gave no reason as to what it was that I lacked

I get lost in your smile, a rose among thorns
You've been blossoming for awhile

I get lost in your eyes, windows to one's soul
a kaleidoscope of colors
I'll never make them cry

I get lost when you whisper,
The sweet nothings drips from your lips
Our tongues together quiver

I get lost when we touch
Your skin a silken petal
embraces the senses with lust

i get lost when you speak,
your words leading me on a journey
this path of discovery is so sweet

You get lost within me,
they say love is blind
our love for one another
is clearly.............all we ever see
when you get lost in another's embrace, wholeheartedly

Rain drops to the sound of my tears
thoughts storm clouded,
I wish I could turn back the years
Erase every mistake, every irrational fear
Lose myself in hope
Instead of seeing the darkness transparent, so clear
It resonates, tainting my soul daily
It stains everything I hold dear
The grim reaper my shadow,
I indulge him with conversation,
Even if I'm completely lost,
He'll as promised. ..
...... always be near.
Sometimes I draw from the dark, this is who I am, all the pain I enconterd,
Left its mark, so I write to not embark....on my last jeorney
