Orion

My favourite constellation is Orion.
I like it first and foremost
because on a cold clear winter night
it is easy to find in the sky.
The four corner stars are very bright.

Once you find it
and your eyes adjust to the darkness,
you can discern his belt,
the three dimmer stars across the middle.

If you keep looking
and the night is just right,
you can see his dagger hanging off his belt:
even dimmer stars in a column.

And on very special nights,
far from cities and stress
you can actually see the Great Orion Nebula -
a cloud of interstellar gases
where stars are actually born.

With each thought we share,
each story, picture and sound,
we see a little more of each other.
I am certain if we keep looking,
on a very special night,
far from our daily lives,
we will discover the universe together.

Debt

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you get to exercise
dominance on my free will

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you get to rearrange the chambers
of my heart to fit your comfort

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you get to enjoy your castle
the way you please

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you forget what it’s like
to be human

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you ally with my weaknesses
and keep my strengths in the dark

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
you summon wars
in my ribcage
to shake my very core
with battle cries

If I made you king
that doesn’t mean
I am in debt to your royalty

If I made you king
that doesn't mean
you are one

Mellow waves
Go follow your dreams they say,
Well, how can i follow them if people can’t stop putting boarders,
If they can’t stop interfering with your life,
Pushing you too hard
Making you want to quit in times when you were fine all by yourself,
Why can’t everyone focus on their path in life? Is it too hard?
Does that sound impossible to you?
Just leave me and my life alone
I will carve my path as beautiful as i can
And with some bumps along the way,
I will create the most compelling work of art.
