Ghazal
The trick is to deeply inhale,
Loosen your inhibitions and let go,
You don't know if you'll be saved
Or you'll fall, still-
Let go,
What's the point of everything, really?
Of polite smiles and sniggers behind backs-
Of storms within and silent exteriors-
Of days of drudgery and painful nights-
Of worldly desires that forever grow in height?
The only sensible thing in the world
Is the nonsensical, the vague, the free state of
Nothingness
That you were born in, you don't remember but
That was the most serene, most quiet,
Most happy you ever were,
Retreat to that innocence, what stops you?
Goals? There's no end to them anyway.
People? They'll walk out anyway.
Comfort? It won't last anyway.
Leave it all before it leaves you,
Surrender yourself into
The all-enveloping arms
Of the endless blue skies,
Breathe in freedom and jump
Even though you don't have wings,
Even though gravity appears menacing,
And even though no one taught you how to-
The moment you'll let go,
Life will catch you,
Embrace you, cradle you, lift you high-
And trust me, dear reader,
Then you'll fly,
Even though no one taught you how to,
You'll fly...

The trees sway gently in the wind
A soft breeze blows through my hair
The sun is warm upon my back
In the lush grass, my feet are bare.

The river moves quite lazily
I dangle my legs o'er the side
The birds whistle various songs
It's here that I'm most satisfied.

With a sigh, I slowly get up
I wish this day would never cease
But now it's time I headed home
With on last look, I turn and leave.
I'm always writing sad poems, but I decided to attempt a nicer one for once.

Closer yet still far away
my heart does feel your beat
Tempting as a summer’s days
or something quite as sweet

Over valleys long and true
I long for but your touch
Just the very thought of you
does make my world so much

Reaching at a beacon strong
on the horizon’s line
Waking from an evening long
in hopes that your are mine

Falling quick upon my knees
gazing to the skies above
In this world that all do see
please send to me her love

Stars surround my every dream
in solitude to know
Cast off by a tiny beam
this evening’s moon does glow

As it washes on my face
the peace I feel so deep
Memories I can’t erase
forever I shall keep

Touch me from this distance far
and bring my smile to feel
Softness of the way you are
in love it feels so real

Break from this which you do hold
and cast these feelings true
I’m waiting on this moonlit night
for but the love of you
They call it Nomad for a reason.

                            There's less stress
                                                               alone.

If Home is where the heart is then i am cynically homeless . I have no idea where this heart belongs. It seems that whatever beats in this chest was repossessed long ago. By what or by whom I do not know, but it is gone.

And if home is these streets I grew up in then I'd better set up a cardboard box and start begging. Cause these days I wander familiar paths aimlessly, a dreamer that cannot sleep, wondering where it is I should be; because it is not here.

Taking endless bus journies to escape the monotony, seeking a beginning out of the ends. Knowing this place is the death of me but I'll only ever reach purgatory, cause I always cross over and end up back here.

Sometimes I feel like I'm haunted by this place called home.

And if home is this family, then I'm an orphan surely? This family has forgotten itself. Strangers in silence that hoard emotions on shelves, call it store rage as it simmers in stealth. Daily reminder that I'm just mad at myself cause at this age being so dependent is proving bad for my health.

But maybe I say this all unfairly, cause it's a bad day, so let me re evaluate this place I  call home.

Home is this pen I take with me, the thoughts and feelings it sets free.
Home is the memories.
Home is any place I feel at ease, the people I want to come back to when I leave, the comfort food I eat.
Home is the arms that hold me,  keep me connected when I'm lonely.
Home is that reciprocated intimacy, knowing that when I'm gone you miss me, that smile that only he could give me.
Home is knowing you love me even when i'm angry.
Home is where I can just let it be, those moments of inner peace, the tranquillity.
Home is being care free, laughing uncontrollably making jokes somewhat inappropriately but all in good humour and company.
Home is knowing who I be despite what you see or think of me, singing loudly in public and not self consciously cause fear's been overtaken by curiousity but love mostly.

And maybe I say all this because it's a good day, either way this has got me thinking. Home isn't really a place a person or a thing, it's a feeling. So don't  you see?  I'll always be homeward bound because it begins and ends with me.
Credit to my good friend Andre for the opening line. You said it to me many years ago and it stuck with me.

                                       It

                                            down.
It started on a goodbye
and it ended not on a bang
or a boom
or a high.
Just a sigh,
to fill a space where there were no words left to speak.

1.) By the time you're reading this, you are probably bigger than I am right now & I just want to let you know that Mom, Dad, Brother, Friends (Real friends though, I hope you already met them by now) & I is and am proud & will always be proud of what you decide to be.

2.) Never ever forget where you came from & who was with you through your journey. Never forget to thank them.

3.) Always, always forgive. But, do not easily forget.

4.) Please control your nativity. Do not easily fall for a person's words/actions.

5.) The worst things in life comes free to us.

6.) Always remember to use your talents. Improve it. Share it. You have potential even though your past self didn't have any.

7.) Don't be afraid to fall in love. It's not a surprise that by now, you're either experiencing a heart ache or you've gone through one before. Or you could be madly in love with someone. Just try to love yourself more, please.

8.) Putting yourself first sometimes is okay. It does not & will never mean selfishness.

9.) Beware of the phrases "I'll always be here for you." "I am not leaving" etc. You cannot always decide when someone has to leave your life. The greater one might leave first then the worst. Some people will leave you, expect that. I'll hope and I'll pray that God shows you differently.

10.) By now, your experience has leveled up and you've been through things. It might change your perspective & goals. Go seek your great perhaps. You can do it, I believe in you.
and your grammar at 3:22 am will probably improve
I want to make LOVE!
Become a perfect storm
Thunder clapping wet chaos till the morn
Precipitation of lust passion born
Lightning pulse vibrates without warn
Tornado tongues twisting bodies toss and turn
Wildfire from friction inhibitions burn
Burrow inside writhe and squirm
Souls connect no longer have to yearn
Lay we can play on a bed of clouds
Chaos creates rhythm feel me plow
Stroke caress the kitty make it meow
Mercilessly pound give an ******* pow
**** downpour of torrential rain
Contorting Tantra yoga poses feeling no strain
Connect chu chu steady like a train
Flooded with ecstasy as our bodies lay drained.
