Mom, at the behest of those you feel you failed to impress, let me digress.
You have accomplished more than you realize.
You have seen the world around with your own two eyes.
You got a Masters at the #1 Journalism Writing College in the US.
And did so against the behest of doubters you once sought to impress.
You survived  bouts with cancer and wrote a book about it.
You did not waste a lifetime idolizing something worthless or unfit.
I don’t know anyone else that has read as many pages of literary depth.
I don’t know anyone else with which secrets are better kept.
I don’t know anyone else who can translate middle English  or drudge through the quantum physics, met the Dali Lama and mastered Ken Wilber.
Who can cook an epic meal yet without a sprinkle of selfish?
Or effortlessly design, hand tie and smith 1000 jewelry pieces of stone and silver?
You have contributed to and held influenced in every city and town you ever loved and lived within
You’re paid fortunate to love someone who loves you both here and above.
You were gifted with an old soul.
You smile and liars fold.
You are positively inspired and influenced by the people, places and art you have witnessed.
Their purpose, intent and why they exist.
You raised a son who feels he won from all you’ve done but in return you asked none.

This next stage in your life will be your time to shine.
It is your time to power back up.
Things are about line up again.
Before you attempt to quantify the sum of your contributions and accomplishments, look closely at the measure of the parts.
What are you gauging your accomplished-o-meter against.
Before you answer, consider this:   This is a capitalist society.
The worth of stocks, bonds, even the paper money, all only have value because someone in power says they do so.
Innovation is only funded based on potential profitability,
not encouraged to enrich mankind‘s forward go.
Creating for the greater good is tougher than ever.
It’s maddening to know hundreds of Americans win millions of lottery dollars every week, then we never hear about them again.
Or pull a slot machine level.
They never surface a year later, having changed their community or town for the better.
I know money makes things more comfortable.
Yeah capitalism rewards margin first, I too am disgruntled.
Your season is coming again.
Your reason to be and the how, why and when.
You should see it out here in the Gen-X trenches.
We are holding together the Gen-Y instant gratify on one end while maintaining morals of the World War II grinches.
There are so many media outlets now, spewing raw, unedited, shallow ideas meant only to capture my time and money.
Your noble intent, the quality of what you are trying to achieve and contribute, it has a place.
Your cost you spent, the things you piled up, now in a storage space.
It’s worth continues to increase.
I want to help you during this next stage and make the last one cease.
I don’t want you to tape your hope up in a box in a storage unit for another 5 years.
Your newest book will be revered, buy the Time to debunk Shakespeare
and prove it was Devere.

FOR Mwima Zubair Naser*
(Gone too soon, when still in bloom
In the line of duty, what a pity)
In memory of you I'll always cry
I won't stop no matter how hard I try
Why do you have to promise
And then just pass on like this?
Especially when you are all gone
Leaving us in this world on our own
Did you have to leave this young
When I lack any beautiful speech
On my saddened tongue?
When the ball is still on pitch?
You had Samson's courage
Like a car with shocking milage
Did you have to go when I need you
Did you have to evaporate like morning dew
From the fragile petals of our youth
Did you have to join the boots?
It isn't fair to go when I cannot send you off
When I haven't condolence,not half a loaf
Did you have to go so soon
And leave my heart out of tune?
Say hallo to Wilber and the others
The thought of you all really bothers
I've never been one to say goodbye
And saying it will all be but a lie
To me you still breathe and live
That you're gone I cannot believe
I hope you made it through
And all these rumors ain't true

prairie girl, home for the summer
                    steals ceramic eyes to shade
         sunrises of gasoline kisses -
                    she lies underneath and counts
                             each, whilst marveling at snow-
globe winds and birds that can't
                             fly.

Sometimes I wonder what happened
I wonder how that door opened
Why you left us when we needed you most
I wonder if my muse is actually your Ghost

Sometimes I wonder how you feel out there
Do you return to see us, do you dare?
Do you know sad movies renew my memory?
Do you know missing your funeral was misery?

Sometimes I wonder why you left us early
Wonder why death was such surly
I wonder how you feel when you look at us
Do you smile or envy us who are still on Earth?

Do you always request to return and say goodbye?
Do you feel like we deserve to know why?
Do you miss our aimless trekking under the sun?
Your expectant babe , do you know she had a son?

I wonder if you feel the burden of the sadness
Do you miss the friendship, the oneness?
Well for me I miss you for you were my bolster
You always helped me fight my monster

Hope you know what your mama's been through
The devastation and the change in your brother too
Hope you keep some space like we did on the line
At least for your loving family if it isn't mine

I thought about you today and failed to sleep
I felt as if lonely in the shadows you creep
Which isn't bad incase you actually do, I too would
If the insensate company did me some good

Can't find the right words to say it was a shocker
I miss our heated arguments about soccer
I know death is a ****** heartless Robber
But hope we meet again my friend..
I wrote this in memory of a friend who lost his life in an Accident at a construction site, his name was WILBER, I'll always love him, he was innovative and creative. He grew up way too fast, and passed on way too young

a throughbred ran
leaping over wood hurdles
confident he could.

an old mare ran
stopped just short of the hurdle
apathy and fear.

a pony tail ran
just clearing the wood hurdles
feeling like a horse.

a young white horse ran
"now just hold on there Wilber
not all horses jump."

I'm going to take a shower and then, this day is mine.
It may be 2 pm and yes, maybe I only woke up and hour ago, but that's fine.
Time is of no essence, holding no power over me and my kind.
See,  we hold the power to counter act fascist politics
While the media scours to keep one step ahead of the times
But keeps slipping further and further behind.
I may not know everything there is to know about the GOP nominees but
Believe you me, I'm doing better than 90% of the pop culture fiends
Who know everything there is to know about every song Lady Gaga sings.
That's not to bash all the little monsters, see I know a bit myself
As I like to stay abreast on all kinds of music, television,
Internet memes, university official ****** stings,
And a plethora topics categorized under the moniker "various other things".
Between you and me, I'm not sure there is a Heaven
And if there is a Hell we make it daily ourselves.
But that doesn't have to be the case.
We can rise up and grab onto the clouds, pull down the sky
And bring the idea of Heaven a little closer than simply reading a book
Found in the drawer at **** near every hotel ever could.
Now, that’s not to say I don’t believe in the Word
and that the word isn’t Good.
I’m only making a case for a proactive age and for doing and living the way that we should.
We were never called to preach to the sinners that they‘re going to hell in the first place.
I’m only stating that there is a mass information bank
Being lawlessly and shamelessly misinterpreted and misunderstood.
What I am saying is we need to put a stop to injustice parading itself as truth—
In our schools, in the church, and in the hearts of our youth.
Read with fervor and a bit of passion any book can hold the keys to a life worth living.
The Good Book is a good book, but…
God the father and his son Jesus would have got on well
With Bilbo Baggins and his nephew Frodo,
Who both understood that the war they fought was so much bigger than a silly ring. '
They would have seen the passion and pain behind the eyes of Wilber Larch and is protégé Homer Wells,
Who only wanted to help and had to make some tough decisions in order to do so.
And they would have been able to appreciate the selfless devotion of Severus Snape
And commend Harry Potter on his willingness to die for those he loved.
Because...
In the end—what’s the difference?
It’s the same story over and over
From the cradle to the grave,
From Genesis to Revelation
To my walls lined with posters—
They all contribute to the loops and the corkscrews
On the same roller coaster.
This whole charade called existence resting on the shoulders of nothingness is everything that we have,
So the quicker we learn to take the good with the bad the quicker we’ll realize that the things that we want
Are exactly the same as the things that we had and the things that we have.
Maybe all the moms and the dads of today are displeased with the direction we’re heading because
(though they’d never admit it)
It’s no different than where they were going and for some reason they thought it would be.
Open your eyes.
All I’m asking is for a little time.
A minute or so more, tops.
I’m pulling out all the stops
And I’m laying my heart on the line in hopes that one day you will return the favor in kind.
Not to me. Maybe not even to anyone other than yourself, but that is enough.
I've seen some things I wish I hadn't.
I've been drunk and I’ve done drugs but I’ve never voted in a political election.
I’m 20 years old without a clue of what it means to be a good person
But I refuse to let that stop me from being one.
So I’m not going to get high tonight and I’m not going to sit around by myself in my room watching ****,
Which I’ll admit without shame I do sometimes when I’m bored.
Tonight I’m breaking the illusion and crossing the line
That separates me from who I want to be and who I was at one time.
I’m inviting you along, so come on, put away words like “was” and  “will be”
And replace them with “the present”, “living”, and “free”.
Because that is all there ever was or will be—
We've been given the present for living and in that we’re free.

We are like Wilber
The pig in Charlottes web
Needing help from
A friend when
Needing to prove ones worth

We are like shade silver wing
The tiny bat
That has to use his wit
DIY to save his friends
And family
We all have a purpose and duty
Beautiful
And brains
And are lovable
If we put our minds to it
Or work together.
