PAGE OF OBSCURITY
WARNER BAXTER Aug 2015
If I wrote it all down, would you know it?
Could you see what I want you to see?

Would you think me a clown or a Poet?
If the words flowed in tempo from me?

If I showed you my soul would you wear it?
You should know what I'm trying to be

Would you care it was me if you knew it?
If I looked you in the eye would you see me?

If I handed you my heart could you hold it?
You should see it drip into obscurity

(chorus)
drawn on the page of obscurity
gone from age of what was you and me
drowned in the depths of eternity
turn another page of  hostility
drawn from the pages of obscurity

If I sang it out loud, would you hear it?
Could you hear the song inside of me?

Would you think me a fool and deny it?
If the words were a melody of me?

If I shouted out in anger, would you bear it?
You who screams of another’s destiny

Would you share my love or ignore it?
If I gave it to you would you give back to me?

If I took my love away would you know it?
You should feel it fade into obscurity*

(chorus)
drawn on the page of obscurity
gone from age of what was you and me
drowned in the depths of eternity
turn the next page of  impurity
drawn from the pages of obscurity
of obscurity
drawn on the page of obscurity
gone from age of what was you and me

In The Living Years
WARNER BAXTER Aug 2015
~^~
“In the Living Years”
no one is perfect we are who we are
there’s no one reason or no perfect rhyme
divided by difference in a generation of time
you see things your way and I see things another
I see the dreams and wishes of a Father and Mother,
and I’ll do my best to  erase all  your doubts and fears
I am glad I got to tell you  ~  “In The Living Years”
Everyday is Father’s Day & Everyday is Mother’s Day
I am glad I got to tell you  ~ “In The Living Years”
the days fade away and the years slowly disappear
I will carry your name proudly as Junior’s destiny
every minute of every day you live on through me
your wisdom & love passed from Father to Son
and when your days on this earth are done
no one lives forever we are who we are

Out Of The Darkness
WARNER BAXTER Aug 2015
There once was a time when I was lost
alone out in the darkness with high cost
I was unable to see so I kept my distance
was unwilling to be so I held my resistance
upside down,  turned and twisted inside out
shattered and broken into pieces full of doubt



Evil is hate and fear is the cause to fantasize
faith is hope and love is the grace you realize
gather together all the pieces that were broken
now is the time for action not one word spoken
into the light and out of the darkness once more
there's so much more light than there was before

When nature calls away from home
you need to find a public throne
a place that's clean to spread your cheeks
one that flushes without plumbing leaks
not at an outhouse or a remote latrine
they're so disgusting and very obscene

Time to hurry you're poking cotton
skid mark stains are never forgotten
parking your car at the local K-mart
releasing pressure, cheek sneak a ****
concern turns to fear of what you dread
passing gas has formed a turtle head

As your back side slaps the toilet seat
you realize this job will end incomplete
burning eyes from the methane vapor
on the roll not one square of paper
so every time you cut the cheese
don't forget to clinch and squeeze*

DEFINITION OF: haiku
WARNER BAXTER Jul 2015
“While the rules for writing haiku in Japanese are clear,
there is no Clear consensus for any other language.
This means that I am write and everyone else is wrong.”
                                                                  *~writer unknown~

Definition of: haiku* (according to Words Of Warner)

A secret and ancient Japanese style of poetry. Invented and
protected by the elite group of ninjas known only as The Basho.
Some say, The Basho dwell in a sacred temple made of gold and
rice paper, hidden deep in the bottom of Mt. Fiji. Others claim
they are in elaborate tents made from the finest silks at the
highest peak of Fiji. But no one knows for sure. Except maybe
James Mc. But he’s not talking.

How to write a haiku -

First, pick a subject. You must choose from the chosen list;
rain, wind, the sun, bugs, Mt. Fiji, Bruce Lee or frogs on a pond.
The only exception is snow, and only used during the winter.

Second, pick a form.  You can write in 1, 2 or 3 lines, sometimes
4. It all depends on those silly syllables, or as the Japanese call
it, morae. Remember, less is more, more or less always but never.
Here’s a tip, the best haiku are written backwards.

Now you are ready to write your own fun little foreign poems
called haiku.*

Note: if you are counting “morae” or words, don’t forget to divide
the number of “morae” by the number of lines, or is it divide
the number of lines by the “morae” and please use the                          on-line    Japanese counter/converter.

I am so smart, I can fool myself
but I am too stupid to figure me out.
What's your problem?
If you don’t stand for something,
You will fall for anything.
Now pick yourself up, get a number and wait for your turn.
I think, therefore I am over qualified.
And that’s why you work here.
No, it’s not ignorance nor arrogance
I’m just smarter than you.
Were you born deficient or are you just stupid today?
Do not believe or even read every word that I have written.
Do not believe everything you think.
Remember you are special, just like everyone else.
Remember to take your smart pills.
I can see you had an extra bowl of stupid for breakfast this morning.
Then stop pretending to be stupid, that’s just dumb.
When you leave home, don't forget where you live and
don't forget your pants, again.
Ask me about my ability to annoy anyone any time.
That’s Mr. A$$hole (aays - ol - aye) to you, it’s Esperanto.
And yes, it is part of my charm thanks for asking.
Are we having fun yet?
The daydream is the free thinkers nightmare,
what do you think? never mind
Perjury murdered imagination, without an assault rifle,
or second amendment rights, without mass media
or an internet connection. What's your excuse?
I didn’t say it was your fault, I said, I was going to blame you.
So, how does it feel to be back on the hamster wheel?
C’mon man really?

My Wife, Molly Brown
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
I’m a simple man with stature quite norm
In search of a partner who could weather a storm

A woman with style, charm, poise and grace
She would be strong like leather and gentle like lace

She would be fast with a quip and quick with her wit
Every room she appeared would be instantly lit

Oh how she and I could burn a house down
We went on a cruise, bad news, I thought we would drown

And on that dark dreadful night, my wife saved my life
How courageous she was, my amazing wife

Now still to this day we are the talk of the town
They say, hey! That’s what’s his name and

a woman with style, elegance, glamour and grace
a vision of beauty, charm, poise and a pretty face

She would be fast with a quip and quick with her wit
every room she appeared would be instantly lit

She’s more than celebrity She’s a culture icon
changed her name from Norma Jean to Marilyn

oh how She and I could set fire to a town
the two of us together would burn the house down

Marilyn Monroe will you marry me?

Lost and Found
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
I once was lost
in the dark, with high cost
unable to see, keeping distance
unwilling to be, holding resistance
upside down  and  turned inside out
nothing  but empty and  full of doubt
fighting with myself,  not  ever  to win
diving deeper and darker, driven to sin

Addicted to shame & overdosed on blame
it’s always the same like a moth to a flame
greed is need always need never to succeed
poison amaranth as my soul dies & I bleed
like a sacrificial  lamb led  to the  slaughter
all my senses stunned to the scent of water
old and wise is just the disguise of wisdom
a promise of  God’s everlasting  Kingdom

Faith is hope and love is grace you realize
evil is hate & fear is the cause to fantasize
into the night out of the dark once more
so much more than there was before
I am the way the truth & the light
born again, life after death
I once was lost now
I am found
the shape is a seed, the beginning of life

I am the one
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
I AM THE ONE THAT…

                       Scares you to death
                        Will give you breath
                        Can save your life
                        Will twist the knife
                        Steals your thunder
                        Will take you under
                        Stirs up the ***
                        Will never get caught
                        THIS IS WHO I AM

I AM THE ONE THAT…

                       Lets the cat out
                        Will raise the doubt
                        You want on your team
                        Will push to the extreme
Has your back thick or thin
                        Will always win
                        You love to hate
                        Will set you straight
                        You can’t figure out

Because, I am the one it is never about
THIS IS WHO I AM

I am just like you

Our story begins in a galaxy far far away
on the dark chocolate side of The Milky Way

the planets all look like cookies and donuts
boys and girls grow to be bakers and astronauts

they have five different planets that orbit two suns
****** is smaller and Butter is the bigger one

the first is Glazey-1 the second is Eclarian-2
spell Heaven backwards and Nevaeh-3 comes into view

the forth is my favorite, they call it Smore-4
most well known for it’s white melting core

and last but certainly not least is Oreo-5
it’s surface is hardest and is smallest in size

a special place for sure is this sweet solar system
planets sparkle after a sugary rain sweetens and mists ‘em

watch a cartoon, blow a balloon or hum your favorite tune
or you can do as I do, and wish upon Macaroon Moon

Land, Land of the Jews
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
a duet
Palestine and Israel
To the tune of Home, Home on the Range

(Palestine)
Oh, give me a land where no Hebrews stand
where Palestine could live and shine
where seldom is seen a Rabbi or ‘stein
and Jerusalem could be all mine

(chorus)
Land, land without Jews
where Palestine could live and shine
where seldom is seen a Rabbi or ‘stein
and Jerusalem could be all mine

(Israel)
You don’t understand, God gave us this land
where Palestine would hate and whine
where seldom it seems, peace is a dream
and Jerusalem should be all mine

(chorus)
*Land, land of the Jews
where Palestine still hates and whines
where seldom it seems, peace is a dream
and Jerusalem shall be all mine
This is a humorous view of two groups trying to occupy the same small piece of land unsuccessfully for over 4,000 years.
Each side is given one verse each to express their side.

Destiny or Dream ?
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
As I turn to see a dark silhouette, I realize it is you.
Your sultry form is illuminated by the moonlight glowing
through the window shrouded by tightly drawn curtains.
I become instantly aroused. Your silken gown clings
to your shapely body, like hot liquid gold dripping
into puddles beneath your bare feet.I approach, slowly,
step by step. Anticipation is heightened. I reach out and
take the thin straps of your gown with a single finger.
First the left, then the right, I hold the straps outward,
with eyes fixed, staring deep into one an others souls,
I let go. Your crimson clothing falls to the floor.
You are covered only by your long beautiful hair cascading
over the curves of your naked body. I take your bare
slender shoulders with both hands. You feel my strength,
but you are not afraid. You feel powerless as a warm
sense of comfort fills the very essence of your being.
With eyes still fixed, we move even closer, so close
I can feel your breath on my mouth. Your tongue
sweeps across my lip and then as sudden as a star
falls from the sky, our lips meet with the power and
the passion of the Genesis of Earth. My hands have
moved to the small of your back pressing our bodies
firmly together. I kiss the side of your neck, you gasp!
As you chase after your breath, I take the lobe of your
ear between my teeth and bite very gently, your
body trembles. I pick you up and carry you across
the room. You seem to be floating, I lay you down
on the bed, a peaceful smile envelopes your face,
as you would see on a child when they feel raindrops
for the first time. My clothes have mysteriously
disappeared. I lay down next to you, then in symphony
we explore each other's bodies completely. We make love
over and over again. The pleasure is overwhelming.
You scream in ecstasy, your fingernails pierce the skin
on my back as you grip and grasp, twist and writhe
and squeeze me tighter and tighter. You scream again,
and again. You have never felt like this before.
Our bodies kinetically charged to the power of a
freight train speeding out of control. We have become
moist to the point of drenched with our hot sweet sweat.
We collapse completely in each other's arms with
exhaustion in total surrender. We awaken at first light,
still in lucid embrace, and say "good morning, I love you."
It is at this very instance we both understand our lives have
meaning and enlightenment. We are under the power of love.
It is destiny.
