Philosophy proper was our standard -
What that had been & is corrupt.

Remember the Fifth

Two tawny royal lads,
And one whom they slaughtered.

We fought for the expansion of freedoms,
Civil liberties & such.
For the likes of social programs now widely enjoyed -
Schooling, healthcare, and the like.
For not a soul among us to know hunger,
That they might have daily - bread
And the like.

A son named
After a king usurped -
Woodville, or Wideville;
For it is a large world,
But really quite navigable.

And a King who took a new name
In honor of his slain uncle,
D̲i̲c̲c̲o̲n̲ C̲l̲a̲r̲k̲e̲

Once more, where moored,
The only survivor.
Might is nary ever really right.
They too saw that

This line;
Long & tried,
Persecuted & replanted.
Forevermore,

Wearing the verdant festoon.

In Old World, like New;
Truth is always the fashion,

This One is simple.

The snake eating itself
Is suffering from starvation,
While trying for an egg.

It thinks
By the act of consumption
That it can give birth to something,
Rather than lapse
Back into nothing.

An allegory for those who steal, bastardize, destroy, and desecrate philosophy;
But ultimately, an allegory
For the evolution of those without compassion & patience.

Because those without
Are only eager
For more nothing.

When One is drunk with anger,
They are more apt to be eager
To go to war.
With themselves, with others;
Occupation is aggression,
Reason's regression,
When done only for control.

In the pursuit of subjugation,
One is subjugated to ******* -
Their idea of.

It becomes their lifestyle,
The thing they live for.

In that marriage,
¹You are the bride-maiden
For transgressing against your neighbor.

Gaia, of the Order(s) - Time;
Her companion & spouse.
Kronos, of the Order(s) - Nature;
His companion & spouse.

Collaborating in leadership,
Hand-in-hand, shoulder-to-shoulder.

Equal, sharing, their distribution(s).

Of Nature, Energy; the culmination
Of Experience.

Of Time, Wisdom; the distillation
Of Knowledge.

Wisdom - an expression of nature.
Energy - an expression of time.

Don't get caught in the Rain,
Only to be struck by Lightning
And curse the Thunder.

For Oceans are beckoning,
Electric is waving,
Thunder is speaking;

The point is,
Pick up the torch.

For when fires are raging & spreading
You either lead, leave, or get burned.
