Nisha
Gentle whispers traveling in the wind, singing the same song
Fears fading into dust and time is fleeting
Tears are being wiped away and the pain still remains
Trying to patch up old wounds, she cries throughout the night
Wiping her eyes she sheds more tears from deeper emotions
Eyes red from wiping, she can finally rest in peace

This poem is about me saying goodbye to the old me. I wrote this in July to start anew.

Mark Wanless
my small mind my poor
small mind the universe is
my poor small mind
I'm 70 and blush like a 10 year old
crushing on the girl with snake hair.
She's electric and boombox loud laughs
and shakes me from my very foundation.

I have my life packed into boxes ready
to sell for pennies at the yard sale.
I can't dance. Rhythm was never my thing.
I don't want to fall in love with her.

This valentine inside my chest betrays me.
I'm always ready to fall in love with crazy.
The ashes smoldered and now come alive and
We'll burn with lust in uncertain tomorrows.

My Dear Poet
I’m not broken
Just dinted

I’m not burning
Just scorched

I’m not shattered
Just splintered

I’m not dying
Just hurt
You're my mirror. I see my true self.
Thank God you have a sense of humor
and the kindest heart of anyone I know.
You're a bit askew. People hate perfect.
Sins are forgiven for shots and laughs.

Maddy
Not what I imagined
Blue eyes were a surprise
You poured your magic over me incredibly kind and true
Unlike some other rascal would do
We have been through roller coasters forward and back
Secret sad dreams as well as happiness shared in the darkest moments
As well as the morning light
Forty one years married my sweet heart what more
Can I say
You and me
Me and you
He is the only one more today than yesterday
He is the only to share my today and tomorrows
My treasure and greatest gift of my life

Happy 41 st Wedding Anniversary,Babe
I loved the fireworks.
    I loved the fierce heat.
    I loved the moisture and
    your heart inside mine.
    The first week we never
    came up for air. We'd
    gladly drown together.
    We found each other and
    we abandoned the world.

Behind the palm trees
In the vast, rust coloured sky
Sets the orange sun
