If you don't get it
don't sweat it
there'll be time later on
to write the words to your song,

life may be short and not so neat
but keep yourself as young and sweet
as you can,

find a man if that's your thing
listen to his words, but sing
to your own tune,

Sometime when the evening comes
the sunsets go and
the morning's run away from you,
you'll get it then.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
You are my momma
I really love you

You are getting older
Hair is turning grey
It doesn't change the fact
that it's Mother's Day

I am lucky you raised me
Thank you for all you do
And no matter what
I will always love you
A poem written in a card I made for my mom many years ago.. I found it while cleaning my room.
Wasting time,
life’s greatest pleasure

Wasting time,
life’s greatest pain

Wasting time,
beyond all measure

Wasting time
—bittersweet refrain

(Dreamsleep: February, 2020)
her heart is easily broken
love inside prevails
her dreams fly free
we are blessed
to know such affection

her heart is in the right place
listen closely
you can almost hear
precious heartbeats
we who know her
are blessed
Kaitlyn is our granddaughter. Sometimes I feel she can do no wrong. I'm proud to be called her grandmother. 💕
