I need to straighten
my dreams out,
they got crooked along the way.
In my frozen castle,
in this grueling winter of life,
lies in me an invincible summer
that longs to be free;
scabbed up knees and
grass stains on my soul,
it just itches to run, and
swim the rivers,
and lie long in the sun.

Make the eye laugh when it is about to cry,
Give a bit of your heart and not a piece of your mind,
Share happiness with your laughter and not drown in sorrow
Lighten other's heart with your smile,
Be a candle in their darkness,
Share all the love you have in You.

Clean out the corners
The middle will
Clean itself.
Likewise
look after the pennies
The pounds
Will give you wealth.

For the times when you are weak,
When things are bad and looking bleak,
Know that I am by your side
To bear the things you can't abide
And every day I sit with you
Is another night you'll make it through
And every time I hold your hand,
I carry the pain you cannot stand

For the times when I feel weak,
When muscles ache and eyeballs leak,
I know that I am held aloft
By a hundred hearts and hands so soft
When everything seems to be going wrong
The love of friends will keep me strong
And whatever life throws we will take it
Because I know together we can make it

that lights the paper
