Singularity
Sebastian Hale Apr 2020
We are our body,
But we are not infinite.
All time in one second,
Is no time at all.
Our mind is our body,
So don’t be a fool.

The princess in sandals
Watched from high the great bazaar.
The last Palace that still stood
That survived the Hindustan war.
No cloud but one broke the silken sky
From which a great gleam bored;
A mighty sound, the heavens roar,
A metal bird did soar...

Shock and screeching chalk
etched itself more memories.
The princess saw from up on high
The metal bird decline.
In haste we ride, ride to beat the tide,
but lest she not neglect,
Her temperament and Royal reference,
and not omit her kindliness.
Step in, in slippers, to the shaded sheets,
In gilded glory peeps
four straddled stalls striding high;
Their equivalent copper hover fly.

This sight had not been seen; the royal court dismayed,
The flying bird was not alive but dead as boulder valley,
From which clinked out, like bugs, a line of faces similar but dissimilarly designed.
Some stories told that they were travellers from heavens farther way.
The future is not desperate but desperately In decay, plagued by fires in futures present of dust and soot and plague.

Perhaps if inclined they stayed, swayed a while in palm like grace, then maybe,
Maybe then, we could collide our past and future pace.

Cherry Blossom
Sebastian Hale Mar 2020
Silky smooth sunshine
Curving round curling bamboo canes,
Cranes perching, peaking inside.
Pink pig-tail trailing of a sunset sky
The still waters of the storms eye
Spies the sweet flickering of bamboo leaves tickling the solemn nod,
Of days’
Silent slide.

Daze of our Lives
Sebastian Hale Mar 2020
Confined but not defined
By our incarceration;
A breath, a touch
Like fire consumption
A truncheon in our
Sky dungeon.
We thought we’d last forever
Our name sketched in space
“We’re here”
An eon of the human race’s
Final faint trace.

Bubbles
Sebastian Hale May 2018
Splashing around
Droplets of sound
Pranging and cooing
So small and so round!

Watching as a bubble floats,
Sailing boats in spiralling stairs,
Then a...
Pop and a whoosh!!
Stabbed by a bush.
No pointed piercing change in
Lanes of misunderstood would,
They find me kindly or
blindly cane-trace

Cultivation
Sebastian Hale May 2018
To roll and jump,
**** in big clumps;
An Animal rut-raucous,
Can anyone breathe?

Smothered slime snaking
Ant-Arching shame-
less we forget.

Beading bumps of
Red-dead delusions,
Deciding definite climbs
Braces, belts and buckles.

Decline.

If a withered rose is death
Then is a rose on fire living,
Or is she dying still?
Does she burn even brighter,
Or turn to dust to feel?

Our World
Sebastian Hale Apr 2018
A technological evolution
iPhone stapled to ear
The fear
Of missing out
On our social revolution.

A constant silent disco in our heads
Makes us buzz from work to bed.
Notified about everything
In control of none
An illusion that has replaced our tongue.

The new-age religion;
A martyr to the pixelated face
Of Illustrated connections.

Meditation
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
Humming calm
In deafening crisp stillness.
Lily flowers opening
In hazey enriching heat.
Little forests of tangled bounce
Trickling along the glossy wet;
Dripping bubbles of purest charm,
Rippled waves of scarlet blossoms.
Smooth gliding falls
Singing whispers ecstasy.

Shallow breezes departing
Amidst dissolving grace.
Changing face
To fly.

Teardrop
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
A Cut throats tragedy if dying,
Dead, gone is all that is to be done.
Why just one? why not more? why not none.
**** that and ******* too
Why did I ever put my faith in you.

I sit, feeling like a fish far out of my depth,
Water lost long ago.
I
Struggle
To
Struggle.

What's the point
Of ever loving
If it is only for a second
A moment doesn't last forever
*******'re fleeting fiery emotional
Capsules of time
Once I learnt how to love, now
It will never stop.

Wanderer
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
Once upon a time
Reprieved as a rhyme
Flirting with shadows
Forest paths that bend and wind.

Keep close your hooded veneer.

A masked face of autumn leaves;
To stop them from finding the bloom
That has not withered yet.
Hiding in the shallowed light.

There are so many wolves.

Once upon a time
In the house with the open door;
Lustful longing of a lovers call,
Deep in the blackest night.

You're not scared to walk alone.

Without a pack
You are no wolf at all.
Merely a stranger;
An irritable secret.

You didn't see his teeth.

Free to go. Free to stay.
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
The dark to my light.
Half love, half hate.
Golden moments never change;
Will I always be too late?

Jumbled bells boxed in cotton
locking crumbled yells away.
Packaged affections of misdirected action.
A damaged laugh detected, now
save the best for last.
Otherwise you won't eat the **** that's on your plate.

The small part of you only I know;
teared tricking, trickling snow.
The part that led me into the cruel reality-
Tv show that you tried to call a life.

I was only an extra.

Writing on the wall
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
Garbage society,
Made culture ***** too.

They poured plastic moulds,
To keep the world from changing.
Incapsulated bodies shining,
Piercing sculptures of greed.

Would it not be better to
Mould our lives.
De-construct.

Paper Hides
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
If you tell me the truth
I'll give you my heart,
On a white plate with a rose.

If you open the gates, I'll walk on through.
If you roll with the punches,
I'll not punish you.
If you hate who you are,
You'll make me hate you too.

A sea never in rest,
Uneasy with her sweet sweat,
Invisible salt in a soft distress.
One small caress and you start to eat,
My heart one bite at a time.
White cracks fill with tears and whine.
Not mine, Goodbye, goodbye,
Goodbye, goodbye not mein.

A tool in the belt,
Of a man who's never felt,
The touch of love on the soul.
Do you believe you are powerless to act?
To change how comfortably you sit,
In the depths of that dark, whole?

Where I am you cannot see,
Behind a fence you let me be.
A buzzing sensation, a trip too far gone.
I wish we would build a bridge
And not a dam and Let our river flow.
If I was loved as much as I love you
Then maybe we could be one again.
You only have to take a step,
I'll take one too,
Because I truly love you.

You're beauty comes from within,
Our love is even deeper.
When I lift you up to be close,
Your legs around me.
I remember how we laughed and played,
until our bed decayed,
Not mine, Goodbye, goodbye.
Goodbye, goodbye, not mine.

I sit so still the grey of day dims
The dusk a true reveal.
My thoughts of you tie me in place
And makes my bed forever made.
If only you chose back then,
To sleep, to stare into my eyes.
Your look an eternal disguise
As your love could  only reveal
How small I felt inside.

You give me a shard and I'll build us a mirror,
To watch our love rekindle in.
Be mine, my love, be mine,
I want you all the time.

Blond straws and paper hide,
The blue eyed beauty I'd always find.
But no it was not true
her beauty found that love was glue.
To mask her foe disguised,
A river of sweet dispise.

please believe,
All parts of you'll be free,
With me,
With me,
Be free.
Perhaps one day we'll fly once more,
If not goodbye goodbye my love,
A roaring lion survives.

Untitled
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
Bound so tightly I forgot we were lovers
Instead we had to channel hate to make us happy.
I can live upside-down if you want me, just don't say I'm growing the wrong way up.
I want to stay on my path and make my own luck.
Perhaps I'm too worthless for anyone to care where my carcass falls.
Hauled up and mauled,
ravaged by an animal.
I was only a waste of meat.
Time has already forgotten.

Ecstatic love in a blue rose kiss,
Not missed.
A double-edged sword will always hurt,
I've smoothed out one side.
I'll glide right through,
Try me.

Away
Sebastian Hale Mar 2018
When perception is reality
Your skin is your commodity.
Fighting in a game of love
That's lost all of its humanity.

Actions in derealised imaginings,
Senseless wanderings over
a frozen crest that once held you're heart.
You mined it, destroyed its core.
Smouldering smoke a deep chested,
                      ~cough~

You're eyes are dark now,
decaying in a wasteland distress.
Deserted death.
Life force drained consuming all,
But one flower, soul of love,
Let go, not betraying its beauty.

Far away he fled.
Her piercing coral eyes of flame
Evaporate my senses.
You face will stay askew.
Disjointed unharmonious debilitating dances stay, mocking my innocent play.

Free in space

My mind is here.

Away from you it's far more clear.
This is the poem I first submitted and thought appropriate to put up as my first poem also. I recently went through a breakup and have never been hurt so intensely despite having been both in love and broken up with before. This time I had to leave.
