This tunnel is is filled with so many faces
lips don't move, but speak of places
I watch the rats, running their races
holding on to life in cases

there's a lot of sounds, minus laughter
chasing dreams that their after
the trains and people go by faster
headed toward life's disaster

We got it made, in the shade
we get paid for the lives we take
another raid, we're not afraid
sling the blade for the government's sake

having fun, in the sun
there goes one more out of luck
another bomb, another gun
a running child is a sitting duck

we got it made, in the shade
we get praised for the lives we take
another slain, we're not insane
sling the blade for the governments sake

Will I see you tonight
by the candle light,
where within the pews
I did pray with you?

Will you make time for me
in this winter heat,
or will I be with the breeze
left out to freeze?
I'm just going to post this, because... yeah.

Some kids lit fireworks on the beach
the noise crackled against the houses
sitting quietly on the dune.

The white flashes looked like stars
that burnt out too early,
sorta like you and me
When I look at you and realize
somewhere in the clockwork of my heart
I still lose a second for you.
Three and counting.
It's on its way to become a very bad habit. But I guess that is what makes me the poet I am.

Every day is silently ending.
While your love remains,
Embedded like a splinter
—  in my heart.
You taught me so much.
Each day a lesson.
                  a blessing.
                  a joy.
I'm enraptured,
Helpless.
In the dying light.

I'm sorry if I can't remain.
It's always winter,
Without you.

Unable to perceive right from wrong
Oh! How long…Oh! How long
When today’s today shall be relegated to the past
These precious moments would be forever lost,

Yesterday…
Heavens came my way
But tides kept me astray
Alas! Such was their power
A deluge, not a trickle or a shower,

How I now wish
The clock had stood still
I could’ve clasped those precious moments
Before my life just withered & ebbed away,

Now as I stand far from myself
Look back and say
Where was I?
Where was my soul?

That beautiful, blessed day
When Heavens came my way*.
Thoughts, musings
