People are happy
For they know the real taste of life is in being happy

my mother warned me
about drugs and alcohol
how they claim your body as their own
and destroy the lives they touch

but she never told me
about the dangers of a boy
whose smile streams through my veins
stronger than any narcotic.
It's not about the number of poems
I make but about touching
hearts of those in need of
an invisible hand and
about
improving
the quality
of my touch...
So I'd rather
have one piece touch 1000 souls
than a 1000 pieces that won't
send out even a single ripple
to the million limpid hearts...
I'm all about squeezing a smile
out of those hardened by grief
subsequently finding self relief
I met the man of my dreams,
Problem is, I met him while sleeping.
I turn people into gods,
I'm upset when they have flaws.

If I could speak maybe I would but the water in my ears is
300 degrees and
I am tired of being the peace keeper of people who don’t
Deserve me

The world would kiss my feet but
I chose you
The clouds lick my cheeks but
I chose you
I could know the sun’s brightest eye,
But I chained my throat with
Your gilded promise
