Jewel in the ashes
Funny, how after a long protracted illness
everything in nature is so acutely
radiant and refreshing

The fountain grass crouching near
the French trellis
shakes his lime green mane
and roars: "Good Morning!"

The little sparrow chirping his
**** off in the pin oak tree
permeates my ears with
rhapsodic melody

Golden eyes of Cape May daisies gazing
giddily up at the sun
lights up the garden

Egyptian roses swinging their
fragrant censers
march in stately procession

Divine Mother, Goddess, High Priestess
with eyes the color of sunrise reflected
on aquamarine ocean waves and sea foam
taps her healing wand over Winter's
crystal head

And the terrestrial world, all that is
mortal, morbid and subject to decay
springs to life....again...and again.....

Forest Bath
Forest bathing with David
lush jade tropical oasis opens its portals
It's been pretty **** steamy and humid here
so I love this ... Attunement

Together our eyes rest on the frog green
bulrush stalks shooting up from
the edge of the gully
diving into refreshing shades
mint, turquoise, parakeet,
filtered silver light, amber browns, pink lichen

A cool feeling pervades our spirit
we allow ourselves to be swept away
from red hot lava pavements
into dense dark yin recesses
of our mini Florida jungle
David tells me they actually prescribe
Forest bathing medicinally in Japan

Shamans of the forest
Healing hands of our
tree brothers and sisters
ozone breath
soft earth shadows
kindly touch our bodies

Elder pine's deep emerald gaze
Bestows a benediction:

"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect."

O my darlings
When did we forget
who we are...?
When did we forget
that we are composed of
starlight mist and
Eternity's breath...?

Our names indelibly written
on angelic scrolls...

I gaze up at heaven's mirror
and behold a vast reflection
A luminous being stares back at me
Thousands of suns and moons
spinning in our eyes

O my darlings The Ecstasy of it all

On Jeff's Porch
While gallery sitting
amidst colorful paintings,
jeweled and sculpted objects
I chatted with fellow artist,
Jeff Filipski

Always on the edge, raw, bleeding
and alive!
Jeff does not mince words, tells it honestly
like it is...
beneath the dark blue rumblings
brilliant electric flashes of intuition
a loving Soul flowers on the
world pond

During a rare glimpse of the Truth
not given to many
Jeff's words struck my Soul

As he lay in the verdant arms of Nature,
gentle currents caressing his spirit,
swooning under the vast blue kiss
of the sky

His heart cracked open
gazing upward
with a raspy voice, tears streaming,
and a choir of infinite echoes
he declared:

I KNOW YOU!
So much love
it pours like rain and sunshine
simultaneously
the dew of eternal life
has fallen on the
open petals of my heart

Emerald Gazebo
Hmmmm... something's in bloom
aromatic minty scents
whiff towards me
from the open, uninhabited woodland lot
on the corner of Perry Street

An intricate twisted, matted, tanglewood
of native weeds, flowers, tall grass, pine,
cram this patch of wild terrain

No houses block the balmy view
all sorts of odors, sights and sounds
mingle naturally with shafts
of sunshine and dense shadow

These jungle havens offer shade
and refuge sorely needed in the
sizzling Florida temps and
harsh global warning

Sadly, I watch as beautiful, stately
trees and shrubbery that have thrived
for decades are hacked down,
lots cleared for
building and selling more
and more houses

Now, as I pass an unscathed
forest dwelling
my heart bolts like a giddy gazelle
romping, cavorting blissfully
through the last...lost... sacred wilderness

scent of fading loquat blossoms
and damp wood reminds me

Green glades of the ashram
redolent with serenity and succor
infuse peace into our spirits

Beautiful Shakti
pearls spilling, cascading
from the royal diadem

David and I
two tiny sillouettes

a lovely stroll along
the deserted, muted,

they also seemed to disappear

I looked at my sleepy hubby
And whispered, "Tat Twam Asi"
"That Thou Art..."

And as if to confirm
this sacred truth...

The Vast Celestial Self
engulfing houses, trees, animals,
solar systems,
our microscopic planet
gazed down at us

The God with no face and a thousand faces
The God with no name and a thousand names

down trunks with stories
