is it copper or satin?
i told myself
this would never happen.
a guard in armor
stood before the lock,
now gone.
is it copper or satin,
the contours of skin?
i lay my weaponry
at the feet of the one
who tamed all dragons
and laid the Romans to rest,
the crest of Vulcan on the breast.
or maybe Neptune?
i spent the summer in June.
god, the fabric i cannot discern.
a windstorm at noon?
please tell me, losing sleep.
the way the light hits
in copper-satin waves.
it breaks.

A Alexander
The stars demanded my attention,
Filling the sky with their flare.
I quickly gathered our family together,
to run over the hill to marvel.
My dad was more reluctant to see what
All the excitement was about.
Having stayed behind,  maybe he knew
Something I didn’t at the time.
Perhaps the worlds end, but I didn’t want
to let this moment pass by, and miss the awe.
We kept running and running towards the light.
This is in reference to a dream that I had when I was younger..

He.
When I'm the wide open sea.
He is the birds that fly above me.

Gracefully disseminating his warmth
Across my forgotten heart.

Teaching it to fly with all its might.
Giving it courage and a little light

To make it through the storms that
Sprout In my clouds of passion.

You've told me flowers don't just grow
That they need lots of rain and sunshine

Why didn't I believe you
When you told me don't
Become blinded by light.

I took your love for granted
For it came in storms

And took their love as home
For the sun shined brighter there.

You taught me that darkness
Is the absence of light

But when they left me in the dark
My heart glowed with the love you
Planted in me so I never felt alone.

You taught me a lot but forgot one thing,

That love

Is you.

Gidgette
We are none truly alone,
I've written of this before
I shall write of our souls
And the invisible chains, once more

We are all connected,
By these universal chains
From the beggar on the corner,
To the broker squandering gains

We are seven billion shades,
Different shades of the same hue
From me here in my mountains,
Across the earth to you

Whether you're a dancer,
Stepping to a tune
Or a night fisherman,
Gathering food, under the moon

These universal chains,
They bind us each together
That's what the universe wanted,
And so it is forever

Each time you defame,
Your fellow human across the way
You're defaming part of yourself,
So be careful what you say

This is how its been since the beginning
This is how it is until the end
Be kind to each other,
Remember we're all akin
Oh wow! Thank you my fellow poets. Thank you for reading and liking my words.<3
