Dear Mariah,

Who are you? I don't know.
All I know are your words.

Your words with out capitals,
because they don't need to be constrained my things like grammar,
rules.

Your words without rhymes,
because they pain a picture on their own, just letters,
emotions.

Your words are just letters,
but together they are something more, something incredible-
consciousness.

Your words are something unique, something never before seen,
Your words are hope,
Pain,
Confusion,
Wonder.

Dear Mariah,
Treasure your words.
Scream in the air to not cry.
Stomach twists like tangled vines.
Tears rise but refuse fall.
Violent sobs shake my all.

Legs give out after a while.
Back slides against cold tile.
Of course I'm okay.
Can't you see?

I'm just okay.
And this isn't killing me.
Pin me down and tear me apart.
Don't worry, I'm not a piece of art.
I'm begging you to be mine,
Even if it means I'd have to be dying.
I have to belong or living's no good
Without your eyes telling me the truth.
Lie to me and tell me it's fine,
That in the end, you'll still be mine.
Running out of days
My breath is becoming short
The whispering wind begs me to stay
Hoping for a twist in this plot

Please don't take my soul
Not now, not just yet
But it's beyond my control
Must cherish this journey of no regrets

Let's build our own little fort
Where no one gets hurt and no one dies
Hopes and prayers are my last resort
As we bid melancholy goodbyes

Oh darling, take my hand
My grip is getting weaker
Prepare yourself to let go, unplanned
Since my skin has turned paler

Soon my sleep will become deeper
Craving for a final moment with you
Before falling into this eternal slumber
Before my time due

Oh darling, wipe your tears
Those drops are precious
Go to our little fort, take shelter
And reminisce how our memories were tenacious

Raising a white flag
One more moment, please
I solemnly begged
Alas, closing my eyes at ease
I just had an epiphany
one on the grandest scale
Fire works went off in my head
Lucky pennies tossed in the well

I will take a single line
from all the poems I read
and come up with the greatest poem
in all of history

Just one line from brilliant minds
and jot them as my own
which shouldn't take too much time
for me to stand alone

I'll take their lines that make me cry
ones that make me smile
The ones that make me think I'll sneak
over to my side

I'll mix them up, lay them out
in some sort of rhyming order
No one the wiser will find out
I took them from another

I'll be known as the greatest poet
to ever grace the stage
As the greatest poet
to ever bless the page*...
