Lately the turn of death's wheel
spins slower with fewer clicks.
I'm growing tired and can't drink
like my younger self used to.
I smell death in my bed now
reeking of those gone before.

Maddy
Just how deep are you willing to go
To find your power
Inspite of setbacks
Despite whomever or whatever is stopping you
Is it you?
Search places you never seem to find or seek
Excuses not only hold you back
You will never know how high you can fly if you don't use your wings
Will you solo?
Will you soar?
Will your self doubt leave you down there on the ground or floor?
Never more
Never more
Walk through the door confidently
Bust through that door

"where night is...the integrity
of the voyaging star..."

will flowers blossom soon in this
nearby petal-edged spring? the day

is full of buds, the night carries its ghosts,
the night-lily singing of magnolia and cloud.

in the sweet-breathed sky
the silver stars are like tiny pins,

my love is carved in their reflections,
i see his face in their waters,

our love still lasts, scented like the spring,
promising each other the ghosts of forever,

i could never let him go and now he says
he wants to die by the sea, in my arms,

and we create a new dream, out of night's
shadows, a new beginning before the new end

for all our love and all our hate.
i lie numbed or over-joyed seeking

his tenderness in every crevis waiting
for the kind word, the gentle kiss.

sometimes he gives me love, sometimes his hate -
how tired the world, its hidden ghosts

soaking in the rain, the clouds subdued,
the poem built of the night's sweet edge

enamel-glazed, hypnotic like the stars.
how tired the world- how empty-

and how the poetry spins like a top, full
of the dark sky, the sad farewell,

the pretty ghost.
a taste of frozen snow
how about pistachio
chocolate fountain
or vanilla chateau
could be strawberry fields
maybe mixed
with honey and wine
or collected from
the lower slopes of
confection perfection

call it what you like:
Dondurma,
Kulfi,
Cornets with Cream,
perhaps like Agnes,
Queen of Ices,
wading deeper
into blissful sugar,
waffling
back and forth
in endless
flavored dreams
I wonder how many calories are in this poem?
In the cold dreary, wet,
months of each year the
predominant irritating
"Craw-craw" raucous
calls of crows are nearly
the only bird voices to be
heard. The instigators,
Provocateurs of disruption.

The logical, less hardy
and beautiful birds all
gone south for the winter,
taking their inoffensive
lovely and melodic song
voices with them.
I eagerly await their return.
Genus Corvus; crows and
ravens one of the most densely
populated birds in all regions
of the world. Scavengers that
can feed on anything and exist
anywhere. Even we humans
have bully "Crows" in our ranks.
Scavengers and opportunist too.
Listen not to them, wait for the
music of spring.

Traveler
I can’t be sorry
for my state of being..
I am the centre
of my own universe!
All else is outside
of my physical powers..
I shall take my pleasure’s
I shall bear my curse…
I am god
but I am human first!
