In rain I know,
The stillness of love
Worth remembering
As memory is washed
Before the sun breaks.

In rain I am feeling,
Such warmth of love
Was once so whole
And hope a messenger,
The sun is coming.

In rain I am alive,
Earthly and heavenly,
Wrapped in offered cloud
By sympathies from sky,
The golden eye of sun.
The clouds are windy
And foreign, light rays
In the sky is my dream,
I am nestled in wave
As we run sleepy to shore.

In the wet sands of beach
Are markings of birds,
Little traces before flight,
Their steps to heaven,
Before rain washes away.

The stars are gleaming
To know us, but I only
Know you, what mystery
There is in knowing,
How flesh is temporary
And the eye eternal.

Please come be with me
Into breaking love dawn,
Please come to know me,
Grab hold of the wind,
Set me to flame like stars
Above, I only know you.
It's been long
A mighty cold spring
Out in the wind
We lost touch, something
Now I can't remember what went wrong
I only remember what days have befallen

It was so silver
It was so silver and gold
But I felt small
Beside an ocean of wanting
And currents they grow, emptiness flows
From a wild sea they rose, currents they grow

But if you'd just call
If you'd just call me sometime
I'd make us warm coffee and tea
Just for us, the way you once loved it from me
Why won't you call
I'd be your love once more

I'd pick up the pieces we left by the sea
I'd make you dark coffee and rose tea for me
And you would let me give you my love
I'd fix us some coffee and brew up some tea
I'd give you my love
I'd give it so free
we spent a night on shores,
sand running through shell,
you touched me soft gently
green waves rolling out and
in the night we talked evers
to now of always soon come
deep, longs until slow, tears
fell in drops from break sky,
it seemed all time was new
and white birds flying over,
how they sailed with moon
smiling as truth smiling out
beyond a light sea of night,
our love then forever young
and curtains lifted the stars,
fell waysides into the dawn,
our faces golden in the sun.

gee
there was a time
when you were something
for me to begin
like a space where our roots
could settle in
we grew around each other slowly
the buds of ourselves
blooming in the quietest way

many suns have warmed
our leaves since then
our petals lost their colour and scent
and i still blame the rain
for washing you out
so i don’t have to remember
that there was such a thing as
loving you too much
Tears turn sands to mud,
Eyes unveil only sorrows,
Outstretched hands alone,
Red hair is tossing winds,
Lips parched upon dry air,
Barren of flesh to be held,
Toes are frozen on strands,
Eyes remembering of joys,
By the sea that breaks me,
My hand in yours no more.
Out in the opens, I loved you fair,
A greeting door of wishes left ajar,
My heart was true consummation,
Offered up to you, beautiful laddie,
Hands held out for your windy soul
And one day my promises became,
Just woulds and pines and beach,
A childish strand of story charms,
Now a love goes cold, ungathered,
A rag of cloths hangs nigh to ribs,
I leave my prints on knotted wood,
My greeting door is closed to you.
