something lingers in the air
   after you have left

perhaps it's your perfume
but maybe it's the ***** on your breath

it both consoles me
   and worries me

the fact that your presence
   never leaves

maybe it's symbolic of how
   you never leave my thoughts

you're in the little things i do
   or experience

always on my mind
   you're always there

Come, let your body freeze,
But don't you dare dump.
Come, let us climb trees,
From the top we shall jump.
A safety line is what He ties,
It is holding us by the ****.
Don't be afraid, just look into my eyes,
Be faithful or you'll get a baby bump!

I'm drawn to you,
Like a wasp to a nest,
as words of love trickle
From your velvet lips like honey.

Jingle click
keys, hinge
squeak;

step on  five
gallon bucket,
hoist out

window, disappear
Durham Avenue,
walk.

i've spent most of my adolescence
taking, editing,
looking at photos

it is the same thing i have been doing
for years and years..
and yet

while thousands of photos
have passed me by
i've only stopped and stared at one

yours

half a smile, looking down
finally wearing the top
you've been dying to show the world

i'm glad i took it
i'm glad you weren't looking
i'm glad you looked happy

but

i'm sad that i only get to stare at you from a photograph
i'm sad that you couldn't even bare to look at me
i'm sad i'm not completely happy when you're not here

i'm sad you're not here.

Noise
It surrounds me
buzzing
infuriating
unrecognizable to the ear

a radio signal
one can never tune to
I try the controls,
but the wires bellow catch my wrists
they twist,
and twist
into tiny knots that cover me

i'm trapped in a hell of my making
without a voice
no one helps me
they all see me
but no one speaks for me
then you called my *name
