Bruised sky God swore loud
Resolute as tears tulips
Out of fury grew

On a day in December
On the cusp of whenever
A cold freeze came on my shoulder
A chill I remember
Now that the temperature
Is warming
And my black fingers
Have fallen off
And the sun hanging
Higher in March
Thaws my breath
With the budding of
Ornamental pear trees
Azaleas
Wisteria's purplish glowing
A daylight gradually
Growing a bit of warm
Wind
On the fields a hush of hope
Gathers nearer
The planting of seeds
And grasses
Rebirthing.
Stained yellow glass
Ripe with natures
Pollen colors outlooks
And wisens this old man
In awe to the glorious
Flowing of
Reasons and
Rhymes.
I understand
Seasons.
i was walking through the park with teardrops in my eye
when a preacher man approached me has he passing bye
sat down right beside gave me company
in his gentle voice began to talk to me

asked why i was crying why was i feeling blue
asked if he could help anything he could do
then i told my story about the one i love
how the angels came and took her up above

with her big white wings she flew up in the sky
to the place we go if and when we die
in the land of of peace so very far away
heaven up above where all the angels stay

the preacher man he listened to what i had to say
said she was in my heart there she will always stay
watching over me from heaven up above
waiting there for me waiting with her love

said that she was safe and would always be
looking down from heaven watching over me
when your time has come you can join her to
love again once more with the love you knew

i wont forget his words or what he said to me
one day i would join her my angel i could see
in love again once more with all the we knew
in heaven up above in the sky so blue
Well great goodness, where on Earth do I start?
The Garden of Eden  … or the bottom of my heart?

How can I make this as honest and heartfelt as I can?
How would I share with every woman in the world, the emotions of every man?

Yes, we hold them in. It's about pride. It's about standing tough.
But you'd really not have us any other way … you love to polish what's rough.

And we really love you, make no mistake, to you we are forever beholden.
We'll not forget those meals and those band aides and all those clothes gently folden.

You taught us to tie our shoes and look after our sisters and brothers.
And that unless we are standing for something correct, we must always be kind to others.

From you we learned that women are our partners, other halves and mothers-to-be.
Which leads my poem in another direction … as I continue my praises with glee.

Our wives took up where our mothers left off and carry our hearts in their hands.
They made us soup when sick, bore us amazing children and walked beside us in the sand.

They undressed us when drunk, both for fun and when it was needed.
And stood understanding when we failed miserably, as their warnings went blindly unheeded.

No matter our place in failure, glory or fame, they were always standing by our side.
No matter our outfit, five o'clock shadow, even our beer belly …
they always stand there with pride.

And in the brave new age, where we all live, they now do things so amazing.
They race cars, cure diseases, head up companies and set many trails a blazing!

What would we do without these women from our birth to our end of days?
How do we love them, now and forever?
You simply can't count the ways!

I finally broke down and placed an ad
Desperate for that which I once had
Hoping for help in helping me out
Not sure it'll happen since I still have my doubts

First thing I have on top of my list
That I most miss is my childhood innocence
If anyone knows where it is
Could you give me a call, I'll pay top dollar for it

Then there's the love I'd keep beside of me
Wherever I went unconditionally
Sharing with those I felt were in need
Now I need it back, desperately

I remember when I held forgiveness by the hand
Yet over the years I cynically let it slip
The craziest thing about this is
I struggle to forgive myself for losing it

I've started out looking for just a few
I figure if I get these back I'll be doing good
Next I'll be looking to get back my clue
If I had that I'm sure I'd know what to do

Which brings back the purpose for this ad
Desperate for that which I once had
Looking for help in helping me out
Hope against hope these can be found
when winter is saying goodbye
our nature prepares for a high
all juices start flowing
the farmers start sowing
but the snowmen are beginning to cry

As another year comes back around
I'm older and wiser and ah yes more profound
I made the time for some self reflection
To remember everything that holds my affection..
Things that I will never forget
and things I will never neglect

Kisses so good and so deep
Hearing the sounds of little feet
Listening to the crickets and cicadas song
Watching as the bees buzz along
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my face
To always be thankful and say grace
Writing from within the heart
That words are powerful they are art
Always go outside and enjoy nature
Never judge anyone don't be a hater
Time is precious ....enjoy the little things
Don't feel stuck remember we all have wings ~~

My son recently told me Mom you're old as dirt
and I told him well God made dirt
and dirt don't hurt :)
Not getting older just getting better
My Birthday is not today but it is on Sunday

Blessed are the young
The animals
The mountain people
The charmingly innocents
****** I seemingly
Am smart enough to see
But too dumb to act
I get glimpses though
In dreams
Visions come to me
And go
As quick as light
At a flick
I ponder half awake
A cigarette glowing the
Last dregs of last
Nights keg
Running through me
So I ****
Think reminiscent
Of the visions
Last nights tempting the
Day breaking
Again and nothing
Changed.
Who hasn't?
