like a stone you fell, stars on your lips,
out of the dark, like a bird carrying the sky.

i stretched towards you my soul singing
of meadow grasses and old ruins.

everything you touched became a flame,
joy burnt like a fever beneath your wings.

i ran to you, shadows drawing back
the night like a curtain.

oh, the echoes of a pounding heart, across hills,
across continents, you strided on the wind

until the sea shook out its sheets
and the leaf shivered on the branch.

the night settled its layers of black
into dark forests, rested against the glassy tide

and you were gone, you were gone,
lost to hair more fragrant than mine.

Moonlight reflects lingering ripples
glistening upon crystalline waters
as we float beneath a canopy
of enchanted constellations dreaming

Nebula brushstrokes paint
an onyx canvas in gemstone vistas
and comet tail whispers
as we melt within harmonic caresses

I make a wish on the falling stars
found in your heaven sent eyes
as cicadas sing along a shoreline
of silhouettes and lily pad shadows

When your stardust lips meet mine
and my heart beats in cosmic rhythm
with nature’s evening serenade composed
*in the key of this midnight celestial kiss
if I had the ways and means
I'd take you sailing on a yacht
we would sail across the seas
but my heart is all I've got

if I had a million bucks
I'd buy a world just for you
a planet that is fit for us
where the sky is always blue

if I had the ways and means
I could get us our own spot
I could buy a lot of dreams
but my heart is all I've got
To the wind
with the regal reticence
of unrequited love!
waking up, drinking black coffee
trying to wash this darkness off me
hands shaking as i light a cigarette
these thoughts keep getting bigger yet

daybreak nightmare, nightmare daybreak
what does the night care?
just what a day takes

truth is, I don't know which is worse
sleeping in a nightmare, or waking to a curse
it acts out the same, forward or reverse
I guess the nightmares are my way to rehearse

daybreak nightmare, nightmare daybreak
what does the night care?
just what a day takes

waking up, drinking black coffee
trying to wash this darkness off me
hands shaking as i light a cigarette
these thoughts keep getting bigger yet

Be busy..
To be
Stress free.
Spring Morning.
Your sun is warm, but your
Breeze remembers winter;

Your touch is that of a young
Woman who thinks she might
Be in love.

One hand mild,
One cold, and your heart
Slightly off center.
