inside my mind

now darkness comes
in the daylight

just too dark

because
I had the key

and yet
you got the best of me

To write poetry is to
tear your soul
in small pieces
and stick them down
on a piece of paper
in a wave
of overcoming power

your smile
your laugh
your hugs
your voice
I remember
our jokes
our time
our moments
and I miss them so much
I miss you

overthinking is the key
to destruction
and i have demolished cities
