you do magical things to me
bring out the the compassion and hope
you entice the gentle heart in me
i know its because you are magical yourself
i see it in everything about you
i see it in how i am captivated by your eyes
by the suggestion of you in the deepest dreams of my soul
like dreamlight crafted in hearts warmth
you haunt me

standing here at my crossroads
with you sweetly on my mind
will i ever find my way home to hear your gentle laugh
to your tender embrace
will i ever really have a home again
now that your so far away
dreamlight crafted in hearts warmth you will forever remain

forever here at my crossroads
edge of the deep sea
and the wild lonely desert
forever looking to distant shore and the memory of you
the taste of you on my soul
dreamlight crafted in your hearts warmth
means so much to me
you are the song my heart breaths
guess it works better now that i chopped off that last line

i was far from bright light bustle
far from humanity pressin in on me
florida's paradise night neath the summer moon
came to dreamin on a pretty girl from my long ago
came to dreamin on true beauty's name serenity

that long ago far far away
i was busted flat end of my rope
didn't see how i could go on
had fallen to the darkness consuming my sight
when she gave me the courage to breath again
with her kindest of words she saved me
carried me forward to hearts truth
she saved me

never could stand to see any hurt in her sweet eyes
never wanted to see her cry
call it love...call it knowin true beauty's name
and the wild winds pick up a serenity dream
carry me forward to knowin hearts truth
that such special woman she is to me
argue no more the light and dark
she gave me the courage to see
she gave my life back to me
no matter the miles
no matter the years
i will always know true beauty's name
serenity

she ran quick as sin
to tell the moon of the maidens sea of intents
but her tongue twisted upon the word
as they were written
she will always remember the first kiss
such a desire of such a succulent dream
but she will always fail because she forgets the pain of aftermath
the bird of her heart has its
mighty wings restrained by a brief touch of his lips
you cannot purchase but you must certainly pay
so she ran quick as sin
his rose colored glasses will alter your mind
in no time at all he will grant you
you wildest dreams with a simple kiss
just one kiss...whats the harm
so she will succumb to him
trying to recapture that first lovely kiss
that first kiss

your a lovely dream i had once
cherished the moment when your smile eclipsed
all my hearts reckless moments
the days when i still thought and breathed your name gently
days i loved being lost in the places your eyes took me
the song that only the heart knows
the song that only tears can play
you were a lovely dream that had me once
and i will live to the end of my days
cherishing that moment
when you smiled for me

to look for beauty is a form of hope
perhaps a fools hope
but better that i be a fool and find
than regret not having looked

hot sun creepin long
be hours for cool evening comes
so we got to hang on for just a little longer
we just gotta *** down this mountain side
just gotta forge the steel
just gotta make it one more day
little further is all i can say
blind to all but the road its hard to tell
little further is all i can say

that night we rested in the lea of a shade tree
cookfire making shadows leap and play
while his soft song breached the stars and river too
so strong a soul hard to believe anything could lay him low
that night saw the truth of the man
had so much to give
but had no love in his life
had no destinations
pity thouse who live without love
thouse who live without hope
that night i saw the truth of the man
a good man who life had cheated

when dawn stirred me
found him cold in his blankets
he had passed away in the lonely night
so i buried him there by the beautiful river
there by the lovely gardens
found no beauty in life but i hope
he finds it in the everafter
saw the truth of the man
a good man who should have had
but had been denied
so i buried him like a king
in the beautiful gardens
by the peaceful river

dazzled by wonderment's true voice
hear now the shape and shifting theme
of these your lost years
call out with a true heart to thouse
you wish to behold come to such beautiful day
know that each of these you cherish
hold you as well in the deep waters of loves ocean
sail free my lovely friend
sail to dawns beautiful treading maidens
laugh and sing with them freely
after all its only love shared that makes the
world a wonderful place to be
so now as the majesty of night falls to our hands
let us rejoice once more
my lovely friend
for our open hearts and open minds
let us tell laughing happy tales all the night long
with a flagon of ale if thats what you wish
i only wish to live in the love
of that smile you share once again
