I'm vexed to stay
waking up
With a head full of holes.
Each day repeats its
Punishment
For things I can't recall.
Sleep till midday,
Curse the days wide expanse.
Scrape words from my skull,
Chop meat from my bones,
Sew my mouth shut.
Still it's not enough.
Trying to reach you
But there's no forgiveness
for this clumsy emotion.
I'm a cold fish,
Or loving beyond control.
Hold me, generously
Undo my buttons —
                  talk *****.
Lose control and find me.
I was something once.
"I'd beg for some forgiveness/But begging's not my business."
Ever since I met you
I had this feeling.
It is called "love" I'm sure.

But there's this mask
Hiding your identity.
Is this feeling pure?

This half of me
You somehow tolerate,
Please, the pain is more than I can endure.

You say you love me as a whole;
That either side is the same.

So how come when
I take off this mask
You're words are in vain.

This red string of fate
Ties us together.
Our efforts to understand each other isn't in shame.

However, I never let you in;
Never showed you my other self,
So am I the one to blame?

This confusing love,
Only half of a whole.

We fit together like puzzle pieces
We adore each other so,
But we don't know who's hearts we stole.

This shadow of mine
Is apart of me,
But it's getting a little old.

Together, let's set them free
Together, let's rip off these masks
Together, let's love our entire souls.
This was inspired by a show called Miraculous Ladybug. The main protagonists love each other, but don't know because they aren't aware who's behind the mask. The girl likes the civilian-form boy and the boy likes the heroine-form girl. The poem is trying to express both of their thoughts, not just one, so it might be a little confusing. The first three stanzas are the male's thoughts. Then the next three are the female's. The rest is their thoughts combining as one. Hope you liked it!
You pushed me away
After all of that
It was perfect
Your lips were ready
Then your fears made the decision
You were only a reflection of the past

You couldn’t tell the difference
I was the right one
But it was too perfect
Now your body aches
You know you made a mistake
You could only think how long it would last

I tried too hard
I thought of it before we met
I wanted it to be perfect
Now you're gone
My pleading eyes left your ears ringing
Why did you end our love so fast?

Falling from heaven
We never believe
Nobody's perfect
Especially not love
Even though for a moment I had you
The gap between faith and doubt is vast
One Saturday I found myself in Atlanta at an 'Art Show'
I became far more interested in the chaps cleaning the windows* ..

She told me her name was Heaven, she said she would show me one hell of a time. Her Green eyes glistened like two fire brands and her dark hair clouded my mind. I was lost in the subtle smell of Roses that gently scented her skin. After one wild night with her, I will never be the same again. She broke my will and wrapped me around her finger. It is been twenty years now and her memory still lingers in my mind. Though I have loved another, one memory still haunts me from time to time. The night I spent in Heaven, having one hell of a time.
