Relax Will Ya
              It's Only Life
Nobody Gets Out Alive

the genie said make a wish
actually he said i could make three
and as i carefully placed my thoughts
i figured i would combine my dreams
yet how can i limit myself to the top three things of which i wish but do not need?

so, carefully, i shall whisper a grain of sand
into the ear of magic that is he
to grant me the wish of life itself
by the planting of a seed
because as you know the seed will grow
and from the roots there'll stand a tree
branching out providing life for years to come;

as this wish isn't just for me

foolish one, what have you done?
that does not equal three

but i have the gift of life and health
for everyone else
what more will i ever need?

Over and over you love to judge.
Genuine at times or due to grudge.

Your approach frank and upfront.
Your judgments brute and blunt.

Judgement on anyone and everyone.
You judge all, you spare none.

O you innocent! if you only knew.
All your judgments will judge you.
Simply Words
Mirror - like and well chosen
Leaving no doubt,
No quotation or wisdom
Immediate, closer,  then,..
Not.
The words will bring to light
Just the juicy Parts,  the secrets
Six, seven,..  More...  Meaningful
In so certain the delivery
The point emphasised and
embellished, properly placed
Anger where the most damage
Is borne of self loathing, laying
Hidden pitfalls,  rotten props
Simple words.

Hands on the bed,
claws ready,
drooping shoulder,
wonderful silhouette.

Biting lips,
folded in,
blinds down,
time for tease.

Staring at me,
heart beat,
(in slow motion)
come and please..

I tried to write poems
About sunshine and butterflies.
The kinds that smell like meadows
And feel like summer.

But the only ones that mattered
Were my poems about sadness
And anger and death.
The trainwreck poems are oh so interesting

We like to see others' sadness
This misery that might be greater than our own.
Maybe we aren't alone,
If we see that others suffer too.

river poets meandering
through stacks of golden hay
water rolling over jagged rocks
as night turns to day
pen to paper, written later
reeks of means to hesitate
ocean writers flicking lighters
humming through to meditate
when your chest is getting tighter
smoke through cigarette haze

Like a lion's roar
Like a bird that soars
Like an antique store

You are so much more

Like cityscape skylines
Like a lake with ice so fine
Like a bench to outrun time

You somehow plague my mind

But I don't care for the cure

Sometimes, it's best to be still
Quiet like the remorse of an impulsive statement
Quiet as your dreams, daydreams
To be still, like life
Quiet like the silence of mental strife
Your own mind, to feel once again
It's not tangible like the heaviness of a room
Filled with grief
What you've been told versus what you think
Sometimes isn't even comparable
Whispers of enlightenment dance around your feet
The difference between what you've been told
And what you think

Here we are again
Humming songs
That we don’t understand
Everything in the world
In the universe
In the palms of our hands
Technologically advanced
Hop-skip-happy-dance
An industrial trance
To have seen the land
The world
The universe
Before our haphazardly
Set up idiosyncrasies
When the earth had nothing
But herself to please
What was it like?
