Don't let your halo become the noose that chokes you.
When you overcome something don't be blinded by it. Remember the wake you left in the process.
I  was awaken by the song
Playing on the radio
The librettos are familiar
To my ever longing soul
So I get an old photograph
Of us together
I put it on my chest
Close to my heart
As the melody pacifies the air
My soul  sways again
Ah, it is always you, my love
The reason,
My *joie de vivre
Joie de vivre: a delight in being alive
: keen, carefree enjoyment of living
The brightest smile of the day
Is early morning sunshine

the wind
sculpted the dunes,
in daylight—
allowing the sun
to paint, thru its light
the lucent spirit— of the dunes'
motley peaks and fevered breadth

the wind
carved the dunes,
at night—
allowing the moon
to sketch, thru its glow
the mystic soul— of the dunes'
muted slopes and cold blanket roll

How can one call for help
When they have no voice?

In this dark world
Helpless cries echo
Helpless cries echo throughout the night
Silence filled with fear
No one knows what's right
You say the end is near
You say you see the light
When you have no voice to scream
For help that you may need
The silence is taking over
A couple more pills and you'll be free

You won't find a tag hanging from my body
And inscribe on it the word black
No in fact i am not black
I am me
It landed upon your arm
As if it was a branch to rest
But it tickled your flesh
And in your distress
You took its breath
