I have never been sophisticated
sophistication just never related
relative to everything i hated
hatred of the over-stated

i have never been materialistic
materialism isnt a characteristic
characterized by a mind that's realistic
realize i am not hedonistic

i never gave a **** about tradition
traditional is subject to my definition
defined by my own composition
composed of passion and ambition

When youre feeling safe in your skin
Maybe we'll meet again
Title Fight - Safe in your skin lyrics
Sickness listens to us sigh.
Sniggering snidely as we die.
Seeking our soul as we comply.

But still I live
And yet I am not alive.
i used to believe
that the sun rose
and the sun set
and the moon came out
and the moon hid
and that was it.
but you showed me that the sun
dances around the earth
before showing its beautiful colours
and saying goodnight.
and the moon shines bright
just for us,
so we can gaze into each other.

i used to believe that seasons turned
and the leaf fell from the tree
and that was it,
but you make the leaves flutter,
i see now that they don't fall-
they fly!
then take their place upon the autumn carpet
that will lead me to you.

i used to believe that everything just happened.
trees grew and withered,
humans existed and died
and that was it.
but trees don't just grow, they flourish
and humans live forever.

i used to believe that there was no reason for anything,
but now i see that
the whole world turns for us.
thank you for showing me that existence isn't all there is to life.
Dance around the subject
That's what we'll do
Let's continue to dance around
this elephant in the room

An elegant waltz around an animal so large
Careful not to bump into it
We don't want this monster
The one of me and you at us to charge

So let's continue to dance
Round and round we'll go
The elephant will remain
Until we decide to let it go
maybe love is to watch a thousand winters pass, and still stand by his side because you know he's made of spring
