that is!

That issue you struggle with
You pray for it and wait.
The thing your heart yearns for-
should only build your faith!
Because the moment you become
a warrior of Joshua's
who wants to give up-
is the moment you leave the battlefield
with an empty cup.
God gave me a glimpse
of a promise,
just yesterday.
But I was weak and weary in my faith.
The praising and rejoicing
soon faded away...
in the light of His word.
I soon grew ungrateful...wondering
when it would be my next turn.

So don't stop at six, friends,
no...
do NOT give up.
For that thing,
you are circling
the walled cities for
will soon fill your cup!

You were never meant
to build dams.
So what flows to you,
should flow through
you.

I remember kissing you goodbye
in your driveway, in the rain.
I remember pain...
I still feel it.
But I know,
this is God loving me,
one in the same.
I just had to lose you
to reveal it.

Faced with the choice
of defeat or victory
you can rely on the Father's
voice to tell you
the things about yourself
you cannot see.

For after I am dead,
and my soul from this Earth has gone,
I hope this one sentence
describes my life,
"She walked with God."

There is no feast,
or well from which to drink,
that could ever conquer
the need for Him,
that lies within me.
