Nerds, Geeks, Fanboys or Girls
We are more than your Sheldon
We love our worlds
Our passion is more than T-Shirt Deep.
You've seen Spider-Man?
Good for you!
I can tell you in which issue Gwen Stacey dies
I can spoil 4 future seasons of Game of Thrones
and no I didn't need a ****** show;
Walking Dead.......whatever
been doing that since 2001
Our entertainment is far from the television or movie
You buy your toy or your ticket
but don't think you know us.
We created these worlds
they are by us and for us
We are not just maladjusted brainiacs
we feel deeper and want more
You watch; we experience
We fly through the sky
on the backs of dragons
We know the regenerations of The Doctor
We don't just relate To fiction, but THROUGH fiction.
We know the Allomantic properties of pewter
You don't.....?
Wait a year, you will...
Slam poem written after the billionth person told me I reminded them of Sheldon on Big Bang Theory.

I see the galaxies that used to look upon simple things with beauty collapsing in your eyes
Now you just stare at the wall blankly wondering when it's all going to fall, hoping it crushes you under its weight
I miss how you used to look at me with star dust, we dreamed of a day that the sun would burn out so we could spend the night in each other's arms forever
Why am I trying to find you in the bottom of a drink, in the hands of a stranger, in the bed sheets that reek of cigarettes
I miss your floral scent and your alien eyes, you said we'd fly to Venus where everything was backwards, where we'd be able to stay together
Why did you let them chase you away from me
Why didn't you fight for us
Why didn't I
There was so much we could of done but you're afraid of zero gravity and I'm scared of suffocation
Did I suffocate you with my love when you made me feel like I was floating away
Now you wait for something to crush you and I drink to forget your name only to call it out to someone else
I want to go back to wishing on shooting stars and dreaming of a dark sun
I don't want these cracked ceilings and forgettable nights
I want Venus, where we're still together and galaxies are alive and well

At the first rumble of the thunder
You threw me to the grass
Kissing me deeply,
You knew you did not even have to ask
At the second dribble of rain
Your strong hands ripped my shirt
Stroking me softly,
I clawed at the cold, hydrated dirt
At the third strike of bright lightning**
You smiled at my body
Thanking me sweetly,
Our bareness was anything but gaudy

You may see a hodgepodge of wood electronics and strings
But to my eyes it's disguised as a beautiful wonderful thing,
I'm not sure what made me want to play but when I got one I found more than my voice that day,
They don't talk back they talk for me
They don't scream at me or nag, they scream my lungs out for me
Now I'm nowhere near any of the greats
But that's my brush with which I create

My pain cannot be hidden,
All my words are tinged with red, not because I misspelled them,
But because my pain cannot be hidden

I trusted, I admired and I loved, but no, you didn't
All you wanted was to make me bleed
Just one knife hole would have been enough
But no, only a million needle ****** would do for you

You said I was beautiful inside
My thoughts led me to believe it was my heart you were referring to
But no, you were talking about my ******
How could I be so naive!

With my eyes closed, I let you strip away the innocence of my youth
All in hope that you would stay,
But no, you had other plans
You were on mission “use and discard”

Yes, you succeeded
Everyone told me that I could live without you,
“We have all been there and back” they said
But no, that was a fabrication,
A common platitude… that doesn't work

Well that was yesterday, before I saw you with that girl today,
Your accomplice on mission; “break her down”
But no, this time you didn't succeed
Well it’s true that we are all like pebbles of sand, the wind can blow us away
You are not an exception

I.

In a world made of glass
I am your home
and you have begun
to throw stones...

...because maybe you forgot
that you can still see the world outside
without breaking me.

Not only that,
but your home had a door.

II.

Science says, that as glass, you will do a number of things
to my white light.
Let us assume then, that you are prism.
Let us also assume that it is a coincidence
that 'prism' rhymes with 'prison.'

Regardless:

When I go through you, my white light
will scatter
into a rainbow. While together
we are momentarily beautiful...
...one cannot help but wonder
about my sacrifice.

I've been torn apart into different colours.
No longer myself.
Just so you could have this poem.
We were freestyling poetry via comments on Facebook. It got kinda real. XD

it wasnt the first text
rather the initial sext
that set me head over heels
no, i wont forget the next
for it surpased the rest
and passed the ultimate test

left me grappling with feelings
feelings that may never be entertained
except he felt the same
the same as i....

left me wondering, which did he love?
is it my name or my fame?
or was it the heart or face?
whatever it was,
it ran with the river tibet,
im gona go fishing today,
to look for the treasure,
the treasure to win him all over again
for he is mine.
handpicked i say, handpicked
fell in love with poetry a long time ago but never had the guts to write one...this is me defeating fear
