Living in the moment
Bathing my soul within the universe.
Allowing emotions to float onto surface.
Magnifying the lessons learned in sessions.
Senses never leads us astray but my heart always choose to stay.

As I look around
I gasp for air
Millions of people
With a faceless stare

I can’t understand
This world today
Why are people dying
Why does are youth disobey

The world we know
has disappeared
The way we are
Is what we feared

Can’t see family
Can’t see friends
Oh please God
When does it end

Who can we trust
Not a soul today
The ones we looked up to
Has lead us astray

Two particles zooming quickly away
Forever linked no matter where they stray
They've become entangled, their quantum states
Eternally joined in cosmic play

Such is the bond between our souls sublime
Unbroken across all of space-time
We've become entangled, ineffably linked
Our lives fused together in perfect rhyme

My heart is a stone
Rolling slowly uphill
At an easy, steady pace
They say life's not a race
They say you're never alone

But it's all just useless, I know
Gravity grips hard with each step
This treacherous ***** grows steep
And helpless, I sow what I've reaped
As I plummet back to the valley below

Pulled two directions by my heart beguiled
I climb, fall, climb, fall, climb and fall again
Still longing for you, for those days long gone
And still trying like hell to get past this, move on
My feeble heart forever stuck in this Sisyphean trial

I write like I am your underwater
There in awe of not being
No longer of earth
Once fully submerged
I see but cannot breathe a word
About anyone but myself in secret
And then suddenly my words run dry
Bursting forth into sandy existence
And I'm out

In this prominence
Om·ni·pres·ence
On a cathedral I stand
Beneath the oceans breath
And fly without thinking of these stars
Which are but fireflies in the meadow around
I am bigger than galaxies
Older than thoughts
And more aware of being than we've ever been
