Akemi
Slough breaker
Breathed deep for twenty years
Below mortal planes
And
Corporeal fears

A thousand weights
You shook, and cracked the Earth
Knocked clouds off their perch
Rose brooding oath
A triumph

Violent languor
Still and terror
Violet stare
Perfection

As you slumbered
The atmosphere turned
And poison filled your earth
Till coveted rebirth
The tarnish
Once bitter came to bloom
Broke black dirt, severed truth
From corruption

The earth will flourish when mankind has left it.

Smoke me like a cigarette.
Let me fill your lungs.
Let me be the rush,
that makes your blood flow fast.

Smoke me like a cigarette.
Let me help you relax.
Let me ease your tired body,
so you forget about the past.

Smoke me like a cigarette.
Let me quell your fears.
Let me help you back to sleep,
when the nightmares come again.

Smoke me like a cigarette.
Let me clear your drunken mind.
Let me be your sober voice,
protecting you from yourself.

Smoke me like a cigarette.
Let me take the gun away.
Let me help you realize,
that its not time to go away.
Mother am I beautiful?  No, you are pretty, just pretty....

Little girl behind the old rocker, in the corner of the living room.
So very quiet, so very sad.
So often forgotten and never listened to.
"Oh, she is just shy and a real momma's baby".
What a shame, she has no voice. Are you sure she's okay? You know....

The prison of silence they put her in.
Each cutting word stole more of her voice each day.
One day she just gave up and her voice was silenced to all.
Words were never  uttered in her prison of silence.

Each day she stayed a little longer in her own little world.
She tried to make it perfect but sadness would creep in
and her unheard tears would flow again.
Somehow she made it through her young years,
and grew up into a woman or so they thought.

Little girl still hurt, silent tears still flow.
And a smile that hides more pain
that you could ever know.
Once upon a time
is as far as I got
in writing my fairy tale
before I lost the plot
my princess was beautiful
her story was not
where she thought she'd found princes
she'd only found frogs

along came a stranger
from out of the blue
with the sky in his eyes
from looking for you
searched all his life
for too good to be true
along treacherous paths
barely bearing his wounds

his pain was forgotten
in a blink of your eye
at a hint of your smile
at the thought of you mine
all the things that you've taught me
when the pain subsides
when they have a chance to combine
will allow me to smile

again

I hope that you know that you are magical
and I will always be under your spell

The End
When I was 16 I almost drowned
I swallowed enough water to sink
Any ambitions to become a sailor
The water tasted a lot like my pride
It left an after taste bitter enough
To humble a King

What we take from the world
Is simply a reflection of
Who we are inside
If you feel like the sun is avoiding you
Like your ex-girlfriend
Then visit the dentist and make your smile
Bright enough to get by
The crowded streets of downtown
Aren’t filled with inept *******
Just you, who isn’t willing to see
That everyone has pain in their eyes
No matter how well they disguise
Their recent demise with ties and lies
Bought online

We fall into the chasm of doubt
That high-fives gravity because
They got you to fall
Change who you are and you’ll
Literally change your world
Because everything reflects
Our character instead of our appearance
Except for cursed glass that
Became a mirror

When you’re tempted to doubt
The goodness of life
Remember that life is what you make it
When God writes your conclusion
To your life’s dissertation
It will simply be a story
Of the dreams you had the courage
To chase

You have nothing to fear
Not even fear itself
Because you are the owner
Of happiness and peace
Enough for yourself if you’re
Willing to share

When I was 16 I almost drowned
I was resuscitated and spit out
My pride and coughed up my ego
To breath in the world
Through unbiased purity
Now I can finally see
I left that ignorant part of me
To fend for himself
I was never a good swimmer

Soulless,
We quenched our dreams with thirst;

bought the heavens,
Waving a country of radio love

As fee,

United under one Internet
Two Chocolate paper ******* announcements
And $6 New York Halal meat.

The mortal man always drinks his sea--
So ask your doctor about Nixon
And lift the verbs off your skirt
For Nemo
who replaced Icarus
And now twerks at synods
With ******* oven oil glued
To his left fin;

The same one God used to bet Satan over the soul of man.
Dreams, can indeed take you to the
Very shores of unbridled ecstasy.
Then entice you to plunge head first, steadfastly
Into the expansive desirable oceans of grandeur and splendor
Or better yet they can cause oneself to get acquainted
With the harsh realities of despondency
And the cold slimy realities of horror
Either way they marvels of mental creation
Am happily willingly inclined to prefer
The latter.
*Its appallingly incredible
how vividly real
scenes can be actualized
in the mind's eye
but still as a matter of fact
these very vivid scenes
fall shy of reality
by far.*
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again
