The Watchmen, lonely, watching time,
upon freezing beds,
the cold, the wet, the dead,
along the River Rhine.

Flares,illuminate the sky,
young soldiers, writing letters home,
some they start to cry.
Wishing they knew why,
along the River rhine.

Those treasured tear stained letters.
A young souls last goodbye,
a flare shines in the sky.
Wishing they knew why,
Upon the River Rhine.

If you were to look at me
What would you see?

My curves are too curved.
My stretch marks unsightly.
My hips are too wide
As is my back-side.
Not to mention...
My double chins.

Don't worry. I notice them too.
I critique and I catalogue,
Every time I look in the mirror.
I have an on-going list of my faults.
But I'm sorry to say
At the end of it all
Really and truly..
I love my body.

The way it moves when I dance to the music.
The sighs and the shivers it makes when you touch it.
The way that it perfectly bore my first child.
The creases that appear every time I smile.

Do I sometimes wish my stomach was a little flatter?
Do I long for it to not be so difficult to not be a little fatter?
Well..
Maybe.
Sure.
Yeah.

But I love it, the way it is today.
I'm sorry if that does not suit you.
But it's all I need for it to suit me.

'Twas no greater an omission
Than others glaring kept
And yet, more than they,
The fault was found in me.
Second poem after my hiatus.

hold on tight
to what little you see
cause it's soon not to be
what you assume it to be
if you have your doubts
on what to believe
ask the dust on the wind
floating by on the breeze

La de da
La de da de da

open your mind
take the lock off the door
take a bite of the apple
leaving the core
the needs that you have
you will need them no more
you push the button
i'll pull the cord

La de da
La de da de da

if everything's different
then why's it the same
as it collapses
at the feet of the sane
there's a certain freedom
to losing your name
the very same feeling
when memories wain

La de da
La de da de da

take out the first
the second and third
the forth one in line
will shine in it's worth
given in time
you might even unearth
the hidden rhyme
inside of this mirth

La de da
La de da de da

She met him
Like a gentle rain pouring
Touching her skin
Healing the wounds
Of yesterday

She has to go away
For the purpose of
Painting the smile in his face

His laughter
Her tears
They will never meet
Just like in her dreams

She now sees the sky
The rain is going to fall again
But not like before...
She wants him to be happy...

What a cruel trick
of my own nature
that you would have to build
me up spectacularly
and then come back and tear
me down crushingly
and make me question if
you ever loved me
until I could for the first time feel
I can speak to you honestly.

I sit here
In a quiet surrender
and bruising pain
as you continue
to walk the road ahead
and i sit here
wondering
what could have made you
want to leave me
behind.
