In my eyes you're perfect
In every sense I see
And not just for the happiness
You send so sweet to me

In everything you do
Your smile does proceed
I’ve never seen you hesitate
When someone is in need

Your days begin determined
They end the same way too
You live your life completely
As if the world were new

Your love of nature follows
Every step you take
You welcome any season
Each morning you awake

A simple poem touches you
And makes your smile shine
Music is your constant friend
It’s with you all the time

Your beauty is a blessing
Outside as well as in
There is nowhere that I could look
To find a better friend

So please accept this poem
I hope you know it’s true
I see you as amazing
In all you say and do

And if these verses find you
When me you’re thinking of
I will use this final line
To send you all my love

I dream of the future that brings me to you
The seasons, the hours, the love ever true
The singing and dancing and feel of your skin
That day when my arms holding you will begin

The sound of your voice as it whispers my name
The moon bright and full in the sky once again
The sunrise each morning as day it does start
My head on your chest and the beat of your heart

The rain that does fall every once in a while
The beauty that flows from your wonderful smile
The birds up above in the brightest blue sky
A walk in the park as the day passes by

Living and learning, discovering you
Loving each moment and all that you do
The feel of your kiss oh so tender to me
The wind and the waves that do come from the sea

Your hypnotic eyes and chocolate brown hair
The hint of your scent that I’m desperate to share
Your wonderful hands as they hold on to mine
Oh why can’t it be this way all of the time

This life that I lead just can not be same
Without the expression that comes with your name
I dream of the future that brings me to you
The seasons, the hours, the love ever true

As everyday does pass my way
Please find my feelings do display
I love you

When every minute on the clock
Does its tick and does its tock
I love you

Each day the sun does set and rise
I find that it is no surprise
I love you

Winter, summer, fall and spring
Every season the same thing
I love you

Pouring rain or falling snow
One thing I have come to know
I love you

Chilling cold or searing heat
Three words I want to repeat
I love you

Whether work or whether play
This emotion every day
I love you

Early dawn or late at night
Forever know these words are right
I love you

In the mountains, at the beach
However far my heart shall reach
I love you

If the oceans disappear
Still these words you’ll always hear
I love you

When the stars no longer shine
In your soul forever find
I love you

I am here and you are there
So far apart but this I swear
I love you

No matter what our lives may bring
Eternal in my world I sing
I love you

And even as this poem ends
This message I forever send
I love you
I know, kind of corny, but love makes me corny I guess. :)

The colors of our paradise
Invite us now to go
Yellows like a daffodil
Greens and blues aglow

Tangerines and cherry reds
Paint our destiny
Pack your bags, head out the door
*And run away with me

We fell apart
When the lights dimmed with your smile
And acid tears burnt eyes to swollen slits
You punctured truths of glass into my heart
And we fell apart.

Where do you draw the line between want and need?
I can feel you in these words; you can see it in my trembling knees.
Broken when you found me, look where i have come.
i can almost stop the trembling and get these wobbly legs to run.

I'm at a full sprint now, into the safety of your warmth.
Let me sink in these arms, a drowning of a satisfied corpse.
As i fall to the bottom of your depths, i'm looking up at the surface.
The bubbles rise and i begin to grasp what i see in the calmness of
your baby blue eyes.

My body is drifting, meeting your coral Reefs now.
Is this the feeling? i believe, i am greeting peace now.
I've decided you are the one i would like to keep, somehow.
Broken when you found me, look where i have come.

You are the ocean in which i can never outrun.

Meenu Syriac
She stood in the middle of the courtyard
Her arms outstretched, embracing life,
What little she knew of it.
In the rain, she let her bonds fall to the ground,
This sense of freedom, if only for a moment,
She wanted it to be her own.
That brief time, between fearing and dreaming,
She let herself loose.
As the rain washed the blood and the mud,
Her soul needed the cleansing, she thought.
For the first time in years, she chose not to look for scars,
She forgot the pain.
In this big house, she was a prisoner.
Prisoner of rites and beliefs,
Of men and patriarchy.
And only when the rains came to visit,
Did she forget the cruelty and the evil.
Only then, did she believe of balance and equilibrium,
Only then, did she wish for rights and freedom.
In her dreams she saw a much better world,
Outside these four walls.
And in those dreams,
She wasn't a prisoner of fate or creed,
She was a woman of no fears.
In the light of all that is happening in India...

I did my duty, I went to war
Now to see her face, I ask no more

True love is her heart to be
How I wish life was battle free
Even as I fight, the years go by

Lessons to learn to ****, but why?
If only we could find some peace
Now my life would find a release
Each second takes me away from her

Oh, how I wish we could be together
Freedom should be fought for the better

Far away, I settle down to read her letter
If only I had never enlisted in this war
Reaching now, in tears, on a distant shore
Ends in tormented pain as she leaves me

I've got a prayer for you, my Lord,
It's not quite fleshed out, that's true.
I wonder if you can brandish your sword,
And cut us down to the few.

I know it's not the most popular
Or practical idea I could say,
But, let's face it, there's far too many
Of us to squeeze into heaven today.

Also, begging your pardon, my lord,
Most of us really are ****.
We could do with a culling,
Before we take off and split.

You see, we're spawning like maggots
And spreading from pole to pole;
Slaying each other in your name,
With oil and land the goal.

Evolution was really quite clever,
A red herring for white-coated nerds;
Genetics our new religion,
As dinosaurs turned into birds.

We forgot your purposeful message,
To do onto others your will.
Instead we shoot the innocent,
And send their families the bill.

We buy and sell gold in our temples,
Our banks our churches of greed;
We care not at all for holy prayers,
Crosses, or rosary beads.

So spare us your soul-searching piety,
Leave off your crown of thorns.
Pick up your sword, strong and mighty,
And sound from your terrible horns.

Is it too much to ask for apocalypse?

Is it really that hard to do?

Or maybe you're far from omnipotent,

Or maybe, just maybe,

Not true.
