I will spread dirt into every crevice of my broken heart and plant flowers so big and beautiful, that their roots will mend all the shattered pieces back together, and you’ll never be able to see the mess I used to be.

The poetry isn’t in all these words —
It’s in knowing I survived them.
Holy smokes! Thank you everyone for all of the support! I don’t come here too often so I did not expect this; what a beautiful surprise ♥️
I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for your time when there wasn't a beer in your right hand.
-to my father
-and to the boy I thought was a man
I’m right here
In the same room
Do you really see me?
I have some problems
So you may need to touch
And speak to me more
To evoke a response
You may need to dig a little
Deeper to hear my words
Or listen carefully to hear me cry
I need your attention
Because what you think of me
Really matters

The geese are standing there
just being geese in the grass
poking through the leaves
going deeper for nourishment
may I follow their example

Pyrrha
He knelt at the side of her bed
Like a throne or alter
His mind full of hope or surrender
Even he didn't know which it was

He held her hand
Told her he couldn't understand
What she was going through
That he didn't know what would happen

But he told her he'd be there
He'd be her comfort and all her courage
She would see him in her dreams
He would never leave

He swore it like a Knightly oath
With his hand over his heart
He told her tomorrow was uncertain
But today would last forever

And so she never died
She lived forever in that moment
Like a Queen with her fervent strength
A Goddess with her humble tears

She lived eternally within his promise

Sleep holds me in his warm embrace
His hands creep around my neck
The pressure keeping me awake
