She stood near the rope
in silence and fear.
For the demons of darkness
had driven her here.

They shattered her soul
Ripped it out of her chest
Making her believe
That the demons knew best

They were always near
Sometimes just out of sight
Waiting in the shadows
Till the time was right

These demons were destructive
Knocking down the life she knew
Hating everything about her
She hated herself too

These demons are translucent
But they're far from fairy tales
They live inside your mind
Their evilness prevails
You still think about the person she was.
The little things that happen throughout the day remind you of her.
How she used to laugh at the little things you did
or how she looked at you when you smiled.
she loved you but you loved them.

Leave me alone
Don't touch me
Who cares
Forget it
What's the point
- - - -
Make a point
Keep fighimg for me
I care, please, don't you?
Hold me before I break
Please never leave me

Do you like the way it makes you sick?
Do you swim in the nauseous waves?
How do you live through the guilt
How do you live through the shame
Do you get the feeling afterwards
That you're even more lost and sad
Than before?

I might not be good enough for you anymore
and frankly, thank God.

She thought he completed her. She thought they were made for eachother.  She figured that he meant what he said when he told her she was the one for him. She believed him as the words "I love you" poured out of his mouth. She gave her heart to him with nothing in return. Little did she know that he was incapable of giving her anything back. For he gave his heart away before, and it was never returned. He now steals time, love, life, which no intention of reciprocation. His words were always empty. His soul, always blank. He broke her and wouldn't take the blame. Now she sits in silence watching life pass her by while the one who stole her heart was living an all time high.

She wanted him
to turn around
for the very last time
taking
an emotional snapshot
to keep like a secret
a memory to hold onto
their last moment together
like a symphony...
She wanted him
to turn around
for the very last time
so she could remember the flicker of gold in his eyes
the way the sunlight reflected off of it
dancing passionately toward her
instead he kept walking away
quickly
making it clear in an instant that he was gone
and, that he had closed the door
on her heart,
forever
and, as she turned and walked away from him
pushing the door open
to walk down the stairs
she felt their lives ripping apart...

wishing hard that she had looked into his eyes
more
just to keep a secret...
one she knew deep within her soul
he would never tell...
because
their symphony had ended
long ago.

So many friends feel alone and obscure,
So they turn to meds to feel more secure.
And although those wants we try to detour,
To those in need the drugs allure.
But there's a limit to the **** you can endure,
You get a prescription and you're thinking that it’s pure.
But baby maybe it’s a problem when you got a problem,
And you get addicted to the cure
