Been stressed.  Been depressed.
Been too depleted to decompress.
Had my issues and lost my way.
Lost myself trying not to stray.
Had some highs. Had some lows.
Had some smiles to put on some shows.
From sleepless nights to morning daze.
From not eating food to stress weight-gains.
I’ve had little-to-nothing to my name;
Suffered silently in my shame.
Been misvalued and disregarded,
or inconsiderably bombarded.
Been tried and been tested. Even been disrespected,
but the bomb inside still hasn’t blown.
I’ve done my part with the love I’ve shown.
If rejected or not well-received, then
shake the dust off of your feet and leave,
‘cause while the love you have for them is real,
so is loving yourself and keeping your soul at peace.

You can only do so much for others. Love yourself enough not to give up or quit. & when life hits, hit back 🥊 💛

In my walk with God
I've both stayed and strayed
Up and down, left and right
Walked by faith and still lost sight

Been on the straight and narrow
And path that's ten lanes wide
Holding hands with my fellow man
Blurry lines have filled my time

But God in his faithful mercy, grace,
and unconditional love
Has been my constant companion
When I stumble, there to lift me up

He's been my two steps forward
When I am one step back
Waiting for a better tomorrow
He stands firm where I am at

I've climbed to the mountain tops
And crawled in valley's low
All the while knowing full well
God through it all has held me close

In this world of darkness, I was lost and blind,
A sinner saved by grace, a troubled soul to find,
I struggle with my demons, I battle with my sin,
But deep within my heart, a new desire begins.

I want to please the Spirit, honor and glorify,
To care for those around me, as the days go by,
Though I fail daily, I know what I must do: Choose to surrender my life, Lord, in following You.

Oh, God, help me to shine, in this place so dark,
Shine your light, joy, and peace, leave a lasting mark,
In this mixed and messed up world, help me to stand tall,
I just want to make You proud, my Lord, above all.

I long to leave an impact, on this generation's soul,
To show them there's a true love that can make them whole,
But I'm just a vessel, imperfect and weak, Yet I know it's not about me, but the love You seek.

So I'll do the right thing, in Your loving sight,
For it's Your grace that guides me, Your strength that ignites,
I hate my daily struggles, but I'll press on through,
With every step I take, may they bring glory to You.

I surrender my desires, my hopes, and my dreams,
For in Your hands I’m found - my soul’s freed and redeemed,
I'll walk in Your footsteps, with faith as my guide,
And let Your love and grace be my true strength inside.

I reopened my eyes, saw bright hospital lights
Life support’s running thin, I no longer qualify
I hear the Corpsman talkin’ when one of ‘em walks in and says “sir, you’ve had a very good fight… it’s time to call it…”

Unable to move, with no strength left to lose
I just let the tears slowly roll down my brui-sed cheek
If it’s my last day and I’m placed in the grave I just want you to know I’ll still find a way, ‘cause, see…
