was
simply
you that
I desired. Not
your posessions.
Nor your attire. You
built me up you took me
higher. You made the spark
that started my fire. You told
me  you  loved  me.  And  I
called you a lier. That
Was the last time
And now I
Conspire
I    must

It's become more apparent
words are the only intimacy
How unfathomable the desire of understanding
        Knowledge
               passion
that hundreds of cells and molecules came together to create vibrations just to express it:
   Just to connect
        To be intimate
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
A family member would ask
I suppressed a smile thinking of you
"No" I'd reply, my face a mask

"Mommy, why are they holding hands?"
A little girl would want to know
I'd pull my hand away from yours
And manage a timid "Hello"

"You're obviously in love"
A friend of mine took note of my bliss
I finally admit it but changed pronouns
Turning every "her" into a "him"

"I'm bisexual and dating a girl"
I'd tell the mirror 1,000 times
Getting the courage to tell my parents
Then turning around and changing my mind

"Are you ashamed of us?"
She'd ask tears welling in her eyes
"No" I'd hug her close because it was true
I was only ashamed of myself and my disguise
Another poem about that LGBT love story I'm writing. Has nothing to do with me or my life. :)
Head sunk into the soft pillow
Envisioning dreams
That have gathered dust
In the hour notorious
For generating excessive thoughts

Mindlessly listening to the howling
Of early winter's bitter winds
The menacing cold
Piercing my skin
Quick to shiver
These bones have always been
Intolerant of the harsh elements

As though in slow motion
The hours stagger on
Surely this insomnolence
Has made it's point.
His Sun of righteousness
Beams into my ***** secrets
Revealing rotten intentions
Orchestrated by self will and hatred

Leaving me ashamed of my filth,
Aware of my guilt,
Conscious of my void,
Convicted of my sin!*

By day she was,
A bouquet of red roses
Sultry with honey
Smelling of divine ambrosia
Giving more than I dreamed...

By night she was,
A bouquet of dead roses
Covered in cobweb
Smelling of poison and death
Taking more than she gave...*

Beware of such "gifts"
Central Park transformed,
a natural stadium
of tourists, strollers,
drunk on:

spring beer Buds,
or
buds of forsythia

maps upside down,
smiles right-side up

Amazing,
they don't even notice,
'walk on by,'

the white shirted, black suited
unicorn playing the accordion

or the

violinist
imitating Charlie Chaplin,
playing both her instrument and
her hula hoop,
simultaneously

ah Central Park,
your air is like
a first cup of spring,
a first morning coffee,
a fresh breath of
a special new,
if you know
how to
just be,
in NYC
Just another true tale of life in Manhattan...come walk with us...

I love him.
But secretly I adore you.

We are different.
But you and me are parallels.

He is complex
But you just understand.

He is all style
But you are substance.

He is all facts
But you are creative.

I don't know what do to.
But I know I'm lying.
A poet's heart has called to me
Beckoning, I come willingly
A soul so open I can see
The imperfections
Reflecting mine in harmony
Shining reflection

So bare and raw from years of pain
Scorched from all the dragons slain
Still, a peaceful core remains
With hopeful of laughter
Seeking love without disdain
For ever after

Through the blood poured on a page
Soaked from all the tears of rage
Gathered wisdom of a sage
The words are calling
Freeing birds from in a cage
No fear of falling

To the Scribe:  I offer you
An honest soul to shelter you
There is nothing left for you to do
Your words have won me
Wounds have healed, and hearts renewed
Bestowed upon thee

So take my humble offering
Hold it close and hear it sing
Perhaps some very special things
We'll brew together
As souls are tied upon a string
Forever tethered

With words so strong to pull me in
Bleeding tears right through the skin
Boring passion deep within
We have united
Lovers heat burns oxygen
Through words requited
