a glass of you

Lunar
crashing:
              tear stains on the pillow
                               i imagine ocean waves

flowing:
              shadows on the wall
                                i imagine jet-black ink

dripping:
              raindrops on my window
                                i imagine foot steps

drowning:
in a tall glass of water
                                i imagine you

all these happening:
             whenever i drink
                                 a glass of you
cheers again to wjh, for being the only tall glass of water i'll ever need. it's wine for you, and water for me.

He told me,
"You are a
coincidence
that looks like
destiny."

I told him,
"You are a
déjà vu
that looks like a
memory."

They told us,
"You are a
dream
that looked like
reality."
The quoted lines in the first stanza are the lyrics of one of my favorite songs, "First Time," by DAY6.

I have frequent déjà vus, which i always mistake for memories which are mine or i've been through. reality can get so confusing sometimes.

I don't think you really like poetry.

Actually,
I don't think you'd like my poetry,

Because even though you wouldn't be able to tell,

My poetry is almost all about you.

you must think I am insane
and blabbering just anything
but once listen to the silence as I do
you will know it's there
you will know that
The night is not really quiet
we only assume it's quiet
and go to sleep with our ears closed tight
under the blanket
indifference to the calling of
the silence of night.
