Wouldn’t it be nice
If my anxiety
Could just
Leave me
The ****
Alone.

Wake Up
 Apr 2020 Flynn
Empire
My eyes are cold
Heartbeat steady and slow
Breath even
I am still
Everything in me is numb
There’s no feeling
No empathy
No concern
Apathy controls me

I’d give anything
To feel something
Because right now
I’m not alive
And I don’t know
How to wake up

A sower
     A seed
A root
     Of the tree
A forest is the poet

A harvest
     A trove
A cherry
     Of the grove
Sweetness is the poet

A feather
     A wing
A flight
     Of the spring
A sparrow is the poet

A swarm
     A bee
A buzz
     In the tree
A sting is the poet

A puzzle
     A haze
A fog
     In the maze
A mystery is the poet

Feet

Fallen arches
sound so poetic,
but they only mean
flat feet

I took my flat feet
to a battlefield
We watched
the people cheer
for the pain of others
Faked their way
Through syllables and
Eye wrinkles

They call them crow's feet
Too good a name for them
I call them
Cat scratch disease

I took my flat feet to a battlefield
they dug their way into the cement

my fallen arches
found a ground to stand on
they fell
So I won't
Fall

Salam...
Since years and years,
they talked Salam.
I see no Salam.
What is Salam?
I don’t know how to say Salam.
Salam!

Peace means Salam in Arabic. This poem is for those who have been talking about Salam and never made it happen.
The Cumulus are accumulating
and like ladies dressed in white
they're waiting,
I'm waiting too
and the storm is brewing.

Are you the hotshot, two tot ***
kind of guy, the one who never
watches clouds
the one who likes to be alone
the one who feels quite crowded
in
a gathering of three?

Well
those cumuli are waiting
and they ain't waiting for me.
oh glory be
don't ya know it's all true
send fifty dollars and
the good Lord will
save you.
