If your sky is grey
let me paint it blue,
if you need love
I’ll love you.

If your heart is broken
I’ll wrap you in my wings,
I’ll sing a sweet song
reassurance it will bring.

If you need a friend
I’m always there,
I’ll pick the stars
and place them in your hair.

When you feel alone
don’t be afraid to call,
for I’ll always catch you
if you stumble and fall.

If you’re sad and blue
just remember,
I’m your friend
I’ll always love you!

Here in this place
There are
Eyes that read us
Words that hold us
Sadness that tugs at our heartstrings
Hearts pining for love
or just the loss of it...
Lovely and sometimes tragic visions
Displayed to heal our souls
Cleanse our thoughts
Take back control
Seductive musings that leave us tingling
Creative thoughts spilled out in delicious form
Memories (good or bad) that float around
and descend like the wind
This is where we offer ourselves to the world
Hoping for compassion and understanding
and in kind to return the favor
This is where we learn
That we are no longer alone
We leave small pieces of ourselves behind
To go back to one day
or
For others who are seeking to find
Here in this place
“We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place, we stay there, even though we go away. And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there.”

I'm thinking more often these days
Of childhood memories
Days spent at home with a wonderful mom
Ones that I will always cherish and keep

Days unafraid with you here to save
This child at the first sign of trouble
Never to condemn with the ever loving hands
That could only be held by a mother

There to play games the best in playmates
From hide and seek to peek-a-boo
Training me right to be the man you now find
Nothing for me that you wouldn't do

Now in a home you and your thoughts alone
Unclear of the secrets they keep
As I bend near, whisper into your ear
Mom do you remember me

There's an ocean of thoughts that we float on
A sea as wide as it's deep
Where age takes its toll on the weariest of souls
Along with lifes memories

From early age on to now fully grown
Those memories are what I cling to
In my heart they are kept where no words need be said
But if they did it would be I love you
My Mom is still living (Thank you Jesus) but as she ages (Or is it me)
my mind goes back to my wonderful childhood and the times we spent.
The ending is fiction but you never know what tomorrow will bring...

We all have a story to tell.
We can stand alone or become part of a bigger picture together.
We come in different shapes and sizes.
We are all part of a kaleidoscope of various colors like individual gems.
We are each unique but we can band together and become part of a masterpiece.
Some of us maybe smoother than others.
Some of us maybe a little bit jaded.
Some of us may have more lines than others.
While some of us are shapelier than others.
We can choose to shine alone or shine together like precious gems to become a masterpiece of stained glass, if we join together and let the light shine through us.
Let your light shine.

I hope that you will smile today
and give yourself a break.
A smile can be great medicine.
It helps when hearts might ache.

Perhaps, if you try hard enough,
the smile becomes a grin.
And when you've worn it long enough,
you'll feel it grow and then...

The grin becomes a chuckle
and it then becomes a laugh.
And everyone will wonder if
you've made a social gaffe.

For laughter is contagious
and it helps to get us through.
Here's hoping that today will bring
some happiness to you.
