Mother nature has a cold
Mother nature has a cold that fact is getting old
Mother nature is getting moody
She gladly shared her cold with Jack Frost and assigned him some of her duties
He soon became mad and dumped some frigid temperatures on the Northern States
When he found out that the North is used to the cold temperatures
He thought it would be fun to send some snow to the Southern states
He watched the people scratch their heads wondering how to deal with this unexpected surprise, with a hint of mischief in his eyes
Mother nature has a cold I hope she gets better soon
Mother natures cold is making me wish for the month of June
I am sick with the Influenza and thought of this, maybe this one was Fever inspired
Hope you like it anyway

I await the coming of spring
with patient longing

I yearn for my cold heart
to be warmed by the sun

in loving you
I realized spring has been
in my heart all along
Awakening by giving and receiving love.

Tongues
<><><><><><>
I am a desert
Warm and wide
Disappearing into myself

But I am also a mountain
Jagged and tall
Stumbling into the sky

I won't compare my body
To a fruit or animal...
Who would?

What is she thinking
Cross-armed and leather-eyed
Lost in the television
Is she hibernating or withering?
Throw a little water on her face
It's just a season. In another month
She'll be fresh-cheeked, light on her lips
Tip-toeing around the glass
Like a ballerina

the Christmas credo
is a mainstay of belief
that feeds Earthly souls
Icey wind blows
snowflakes swirling
'bout my head

Wrapped against the cold
mittens and shawls
my new best friends

The air is clear, brisk
Not a cloud in sight
The wind is still
on this cold
silken night

House becomes harbor
Secure safe and warm
Comfort embraces Us
upon finding Our way home

Minnesota
trees wrapped in lights glitter
shine and sparkle under moons night
open land, expansive
to run
to slide
snow so white and soft like clouds
absorbs our bodies fall

pines and firs a canopy
casting gaze on all below
branch tips wrapped in delicate ice
magic wands
hovering o're our heads
this eve of moonlit glow
