With some people
A moment becomes
A lifetime...

With some people
A moment
Not found
In a lifetime...

Blessings they speak
In many ways
On any given day.
There is of course
The sun's return
After darkness reigns
There is that first
Breath the infant takes
The last breath
The old man shakes
And takes away the pain.

The each moment
Each ocean wave
Each snowflake
Each lovers look
Each gentle touch
Each sun at noon
Each son and daughter too.
Each child's laugh
Each joyous room
Each innocent mistakes
Which go right anyway.

Each moment of peace
Each moment unique
Each moment of hope
Each moment of you.

The freedom to choose
The freedom to refuse
It's within our attitudes
That's a blessing too.

This life is short
There is no doubt
The birds they sing
And though our lives
They probably don't mean a thing
The many generations
Come and go
Don't I know.

But in this moment so fleeting
It is blessings I am remembering
And in the many shapes
And sounds of suffering
That we can't deny
It is easy to miss
The traveler dressed in white
In the blowing snow
And so it is with the
Blessings
We need to remember
To

Do not just merely follow your dreams
Chase after them
Visualize them coming true
Overcoming all obstacle's
Keeping your eyes on the prize
The joy of your dream coming true
You will then inspire others to make their dreams come true
This poem is inspired by one of my lessons in a class I am currently taking.

In the single drop of your tears
I could feel the core of your heart
Deep in mourning for years
Now the tears roll down silently
For years, submerging your soul
In the sea of melancholy
Waiting for someone to hold your hand
And pull you towards the shore

A grain of sand,
Once part of a desert dune,
Taken away by a windstorm,
Parted too soon

Regal was the life,
In the dune where I was born,
Unearthed now,
From my existence torn

A wandering gypsy,
I'm one with the wind,
From all my attachments,
Unhinged, unhinged
The subject, "A Grain of Sand", inspired by Joe Cole's challenge this week.
Thank you, Mr. Cole. Enjoyed writing with such a subject in mind.

1** ~   Figure out what you want,
learn to ask for it. Nobody
                      can read your mind.

2 ~    Nobody will love you the
                      way you imagined.

3 ~     Life does not come
                       with a reboot option.

4 ~     People are not covered
                       under manufacturer's warranty.

5 ~     Everything comes with a
                       shelf life, including
                       relationships.

6 ~    Nothing is permanent.
                       Nothing comes free.
                       Why pay for temporary
                        illusions.

7 ~      Even if they hate you.
                        At least they tried.

8 ~      You only live once
                         till you die once.

9 ~       Make happiness a
                         compulsion. Don't let
                         sorrow choose you.

10 ~    Sometimes lose everything.
                         You realize your worth.

Will I wake up and live
the dream I am dreaming
OR
Will I fall asleep and dream
the dream I am living...

I walked a lonely street
I heard the church bells chime
I felt out of rhythm
I felt out of rhyme

Then all of a sudden
a purse thief ran by me!
He took my slender purse!
All my money for the week!

Then as I walked farther
by a puddle lying there
a semi rushed right thru it!
Water everywhere!

Then as I continued
walking up the way
a mugger came up to me
wanting me to pay!

I had zero money
as the thief had snatched my purse
I thought, this is horrible!
It couldn't get much worse!

But, my friends, it did.
The mugger was enraged!
That I had no money
thought to put me in the grave!

So he up and shot me!
Yes, I tell you true.
He shot me in the chest
so a crimson flower bloomed.

The people all around me
would not help a whit!
Didn't want to be involved
so I had to sit

With blood flowing everywhere!
Then a man he happened by.
He heard my desperation
and listened to my cries.

He had little money
but what little he had did give
that I could find a taxi.
That I at last could live!

I was so very grateful
for his help that day
I asked him his name
and told him I would pray.

For he was a homeless man
I'd seen him around.
Always bright and cheery
never with a frown

He said, "Pray not for me my sister,
for I am not in need.
You pray for the others
For their dishonesty and greed.

They need your prayers, my sister.
Yes, they surely do.
Not only will it help them out
It will comfort you.

I never saw the man again.
He came 'round no more.
He was never at his daily haunts
by the old church door.

I did as he suggested
It was release to pray
I believe he was an angel

and I found Love that day

Also called The Love Chapter
I just read a poem by Weeping Willow
It inspired this

I really do pray for the people
Who hurt me. I get angry
At times and vent.
But generally I'm pretty happy.
I don't hold the
bitterness in my
